I think we should blame the case manufacturers more than Disney Home Ent

There’s still money to be made with physical media.

Got a copy of Addams Family 2 today in a giant, oversized box full of inflatable air pillows...and a disc that was clearly a re-wrapped return, with a jacked-up slipcover. Yeah, it was only six dollars, but still, lame. At least the discs seemed unphased (after I wiped them off).

You didn't have to open it. You could've complained and they would've replaced it.

Have we given up hope for a B2G1F in November 2022?

You can check the Target website in a few hours to see next week's ad. Each week that's the soonest anyone here will find out.

Pearl (A24) is listed at $14.99, $8 cheaper than Amazon, and $5 cheaper than Walmart iirc

Pearl is kinda cheap here. Might grab it at that point, since X was so cheap.

If it follows last year's pattern there should be a b2g1 Thanksgiving week.

In for Pearl at 14.99

These A24 standard BDs usually start at $15 and make it to $10 on sale. Saint Maud and a couple of them have been $5. But $10 is the 'buy' price, if the store has a minty slip of course. Like the Belfast I found today.

Men, X, C'mon C'mon, The Green Knight, Midsommar, The Lighthouse, Hereditary, The Witch all reached $10 or less for at least one week, and Pearl will too. Lionsgate (publishes A24 films discs I guess?) gives us the best prices, bar none. Like Everything, Everywhere All at Once 4K for $9.99 next week.

I know. Most of what you mentioned fell to $10-$5 price ranges.
Funny what you said, because, honestly, all I really wanted was 2 Marvel movies and Everything All at Once 4K.

It's possible they may, but could maybe not, if so, they will or won't but we'll see if maybe yes or no.

Is Target good about packaging steelbooks when shipping? I had to order the E.T. 4K steelbook because it's not available anywhere near me.

If I remember correctly, this thread is nothing but horror stories about Target shipping steelbooks. Blumhouse is currently in production on a new movie about it. Good luck on your delivery.

My Target ET steelbook came tightly wrapped in a padded envelope. No dents or dings despite the packaging and UPS Mail Innovations shipping, but I believe that I was lucky.

My local target only has the boat and small section in elec for movies. They really downsized from before.
