It's not like I was ever bored, but in the last half-hour or so I really felt the length of it. But I also can't really pinpoint anything I would've taken out, either. So whatevs.

It could be that they were dissuaded from going overboard with the running time, but what with the film being such a success, Warners decided, 'Sod it, if you wanna put together a director's cut, go ahead.' I get the impression that Muschietti was sad to see the scene at Stan's bar mitzvah go.

Who knows, maybe the box office numbers will encourage them to make Chapter Two a seventy-hour-long epic with a budget of $775748389293858.

Lol the miniseries that most remember for being overlong is less than an hour longer than this film, which I thought flew by and could have used more time with the characters away from set-ups for scares. And, with an additional 15 minutes, it'll only be about a half hour longer.

Just back and I enjoyed it,thought it was well done but I also thought it was a tad long.
Maybe if they had shaved fifteen minutes off it to bring it to around two hours.

Had a fifth viewing today myself. The film's pace is fantastic.

[Show spoiler] Maybe the group split "big gloom" part kinda slowed it down, but then the Bowers Dad murder really accelerates the pace going into the climax.

Gonna do a matinee double feature with IT and mother! tomorrow.

My brain should be good after that.
