Dempsey/Posey > Teen Actors so for that the 3rd is ranked higher. The 4th seemed too juvenile in comparison with the prior films.

Vampire Diaries will probably be on FOREVER since it has "good" ratings in CW standards. Kevin also has The Following which was renewed for a second season, I think.

I wouldn't mind a Scream 5 with a new story and new cast but same meta experience. Sidney already got targeted by 7 serial killers, anymore would be even more unrealistic.

I still think they should have had Emma survive, Neve die. Then in the sequel it could be a whole new cast and WE know who the killer is, but no one in the cast does kind of thing. Switch it up a bit.

I got so excited to see the thread bumped, hoping that we would have news on the new one...Damn.

I'm pretty sure the series is just going to live on as the MTV TV series now, and the movies are over.

Nobody even knows when that's coming but I really hope we get at least 2 more films, of all the horror franchises I've seen over the years, it's this one and Friday I want to see more films for.

I'd love to see Emma Roberts get kinky in Scream 5 and maybe show the goods !

We have been waiting so long for her to show them!

Does the goods mean full nudity or is breasts enough?

Mainstream nudity is usually "blink and you'll miss it". It's just... eh... hard to get excited about.

I wouldn't mind if she wasn't in another 'Scream' film. Nevertheless, there is no reason to have her in one after S4.

Other than the return of the original cast, I really liked Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed.

[Show spoiler]

Really wished that Wes & Co. drove this film into a whole new direction with her character and have her survive to see two more films

They won't do another film. Seems rather unlikely with the TV show coming now. Though I bet someday we'll get a remake .

Aaaa, no joke, but there lies an idea that should maybe have consideration. I wouldn't be talking about a franchise "do over," but more along the lines of a "Copy Cat." I know that practically every sequel was a "Copy Cat," but they just seemed to be centralized in Woodsboro too much, and done in a way to lure Sidney out from hiding.

Maybe something new along the lines of where a murder(s) takes place in another town, or state. Where the "media" begins to chronicle the similarities of the events between Sidney's past and a new characters present. Maybe it all sounds too much like Scream 4, but to broaden the story. I think Scream 5 could be a new beginning, maybe even something that should of been done in Scream 4. A story that joined Sidney's character up with another, to handle their trauma and recovery together. The loss of family and lack of friends would be the realities that each of them share. This could make Woodsboro a historical centerpiece within the franchise, and carry the franchises' horrific "murder-torch" into another town or city.

Scream 4 to me fell short on story, and was weak on appeal. Besides the original cast, Hayden Panettiere is what made this sequel stand out. Other than Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed and maybe Marley Shelton as Deputy Judy Hicks, there really wasn't any other actors that had memorable roles, nor were they as creatively focused, performed, and written. To have any family or other siblings involved was just an aimless and lifeless way for Kevin Williamson to create a story within a time frame for the studio to push out yet another sequel. Almost as if "Rebooting" the franchise was the last thing on their minds, but I'm glad they tried.

Same here.

And who knows if the series is either really successful or fails I think they will revist the Scream series in movie form yet again.
