My problem, besides the sexism, is that she easily could have flown away on his ship, leaving him stranded there, because I guess he's an idiot.

Does anyone know when pre-sale tickets for JW come out? I had read somewhere that the U.K. have tickets going on sale tomorrow, and that the U.S. might also follow suit. I'm planning to get a group of tickets for me and my buddies for June 12 in IMAX 3D. I just want to secure my tickets and my seats already. I can't wait!!!!!

it was also implied that she was passed out, probably drunk. It's likely she didn't even wake up until after he took off.

Also, even if she wasn't, why would she steal the ship? What would be her motivation?

That's the explanation I'm going with. That's the vibe I got from the character, and I kinda liked that about the Guardians. While the characters that make up the Avengers are heroes in a true sense, the gang in Guardians come off as a bunch of idiots, morally questionable at times, etc. I think that contrast is kinda fun.

Anyway, funny how Marvel is taking over even this thread.

No doubt about that. There's a lot of nostalgia for Jurassic Park out there, and now that the franchise has been away for nearly 15 years a lot of people seem to be quite ready for it to return. Kids always love dinosaurs as well, so that should help even with the new generation of kids who didn't grow up with JP.

I can easily see it grossing $1 billion at the very least, which I'll be happy about because it guarantees sequels, which I want. Unless this movie leaves me as disappointed as JPIII did back in the day, in which case I'm not going to feel much excitement about the inevitable sequels.

It's tracking to open to $133M. That would probably lock $300M domestically. It should also do $150M+ in China as well. This thing is going to be a monster.

The more I see of this film, the less sure about it I get. I'll reserve judgment until I see it, and I'm sure it'll be fun, but it seems less like a sequel and more like a reboot in that the tone seems completely different from the trilogy so far. Then again, it's hard to tell that from a trailer. It could just be the way it's marketed. Still psyched!

This is going to be a great summer for the studios. A great winter too.
