Had i found this offer before getting this though i would have gotten it. Not sure why it didn't show on my local ebay searchpage (UK, US, DE, Hongkong and China in one search) but it did on the original Ebay page.

Edit: I just tried putting the X3 and the Duo up for sale again. If the X3 gets sold i'll get the X30 and if both the X3 and the Duo gets sold then maybe i'll get the RS60 which has CMS build in.

But knowing Denmark i properly wont get any good offers and i'll be stuck with the X3.

How many projectors have you went through now? How can you put the X3 up for sale when you don't even have it yet? Could you not work something out with the seller to upgrade through him?

I would have been quite satisfied with my purchase if i hadn't found that 20 days after having ordered my X3 the one year newer X30 appeared on Ebay for the exact same price.

I've already gotten a potential buyer interested but i have of cause no pj yet so he'll have to hang on for a couple of days before i reel him in.

The problem with just upgrading is that the X30 with the current seller is more expensive and not an refubished like the other ebay seller. Another thing is the lamp warranty im sure cant just be returned and must be used for another X3 and not an X30.

No rest for the restless.

I had a similar situation when I bought my Onkyo 809. Right after I bought it, they came out with the 818 which has XT32 instead of just the XT like mine has, and can be had for about the same price.

You could always ask your current seller if he would cut you a deal after what you've had to go through. I'm sure you'll get it all figured out soon.

Yes im annoyed too don't get me wrong.

I just think it's still worth the trouble getting a year newer model for the same price. After all this i need a too hold up on all the American "shi¤t".. At least i'll keep of all of the bigger things. To much of a hassle.

Darbee and hum eliminators are next. After this not much can be upgraded exept maybe lesser needed things like an amp and a new tv (my current one is getting a bit crummy

).

Who did you buy the lamp warranty from? Maybe since you don't even have the projector, you can contact them for a refund, or have it transfered to the new model projector that you will be getting.

Yes that is possibly mate but the customs tax cant be refunded. So i'll still be stuck with the X3 even though this is solved.

Actually that's a very good idea. Sell the lamp warranty with the X3, as long as it's transferable.

I picked this up today:

I loves me some sci-fi and horror, and this one has both, plus it has awesome A/V quality with lots of LFE.

Hey Froggy, it it a Steelbook? JK Seriously though, make sure that you did not get one of the bad versions of Sunshine, all messed up at the end. Search "Sunshine Fox Replacement" and you will get all the info you need. If it is bad Fox will send you a new one. At least they did about six months ago when I exchanged mine.

I used to have it before, but I haven't seen it in a while. I remember some basic plot points, but not any real details. I think I may go watch it right now.

Thanks for the heads-up Bguz.

Now that you mention it, I do remember reading about that. I used to own this on BD before, and that one didn't have any problems. I bought this one used from a local store, so that makes me a little more worried. Luckily, they allow up to 15 returns per year with no questions asked, but it has to be returned within 10 days. I guess I will definitely be watching it tonight. Wish me luck!

Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun - YouTube

I freakin' love Soundgarden!

I think they are by far the best band to come out of the "grunge" period. They have great musicianship, plus a harder Black Sabbath influenced edge than those other whiners.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch Sunshine. I fixed me some dinner, fired up the pj, and got ready to enjoy some food and a movie, but the damned Picture In Picture came up, and I spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out how to turn it off, but that choice was greyed out in the menu, so I couldn't turn it off. I was freakin' pissed!

The last copy I had didn't have any problems at all, and since I bought this one used, I figured that somebody just unloaded it because of the PIP.

I finally calmed myself down and ended up watching Batman Begins and The Dark Knight instead, and that was pretty cool.

Anyway, after watching those two movies, I went on line and did some research and was going to contact Fox for a replacement disc, but luckily I read that it was mainly a problem with Sony players, but Panasonic players(like I have) have a PIP button on the remote. I just put it back in to check and sure enough, as soon as the movie begins playing, all I have to do is push that button, and voilà, no PIP.

I shouldn't have to do that, but it's no big deal to push that one button once as soon as the movie starts. I'm just really relieved that I don't have to return it to where I bought it, or send off for a replacement.

Now I just hope it doesn't have a problem near the end like Bguz mentioned.
