He also said Sphere was forthcoming in a previous video, as well as Logan's Run. Forthcoming via Warner or a boutique? Don't know if I should trust that guy.

I don't think he just makes stuff up. Sometimes stuff gets delayed or canceled.

I wasn't implying that something he "announced" didn't materialize, just that his info may be based on assumptions. Some would call it conjecture.

His channel has quite a few followers and studio insiders and label heads find that useful so he may actually have some influence. They must be feeding him bits of info which he uses to draw in the crowds.

Awesome news. Sphere just went OOP. I would buy 4K's for both Contact and Sphere. Bring it on Warner.

Considering how "Forrest Gump" looks in 4k, I wouldn't have much hopes for "Contact" either. Both weren't very sharp from their thearical release. They've got a soft and naturalistic look. Contact has a more satureted pallette, with bright reds such as Jodie Foster suit in the forst boot sequence.

The blu-ray has had a kind of video image instead of filmic, too much contrast and edge enhancement with noise reduction. If only they get rid of this for the 4k release, then that would be worth it.

Actually he's quite legit! I started following him on YouTube and it roughly coincides with first announcements both here and on The Digital Bits.
