Just got my copy from Amazon, can't believe how beautiful the PQ is!! You'll be blown away as soon as you see the title screen. Best PQ in blu-ray, ever.

There's a reason for that, but ones taken with cameras and/or other devices look decent enough to give you an idea.

it doesn't. it just adjusts the overall volume of the whole track. it's a bit of a misnomer.

Unfortunately no such luck for me. I have a samsung BD UP 5000 - it was reported 2 day ago that this player will have problems with this disc and they unfortunately were right in my case.

I do have good news though - I have a magnavox $78 special (barebones) player from Walmart and it plays fine in that player. So it looks like I will have to bring my bedroom player to the living room so I can watch it on my big screen.

Sucks but glad I will still get to watch it.

Funny though that the $78 player (with no upgrades in the forseen future)plays a movie that my $800 combo player won't (that has had several upgrades until about 1 year ago when the comapny gave up updating it).

Funny thing is I bought a panasonic player a few months back to replace the sammy and decided that I didnt need it because my sammy plays everything fine - but I couldnt play toy story(my duaghters favorite movie) and now Avatar (Im sure will be my new favorite to show PQ) - looks like I should have kept the panny. Opps...

A firmware update will fix it,Tell Samsung company about it,let them hearing you loudly.This is samsung company at the end.Blu-ray disc creators should blame them for their bad effort

I just watched a few scenes and I have to agree : best transfer ever, the image quality is extraordinary. I also love the 1.78:1 ratio, very nice and fits the movie and especially the flying scenes perfectly. Definitely the best looking disc ever, perfect demo material !
