Also, Don’t forget many major video streamers are considering offering gaming packages also. They won’t put up with SD streaming games in this day and age. The gaming industry is HUGE, way bigger than tv and film.
Like a dumb ass, I stayed up all night playing an online video game with a friend that lives in New Zealand- six hour time difference between us. I am not supposed to be doing stupid sheet like this.

While streaming pollutes the world with its voracious consumption of dirty energy, my friend and I were saving it in our video game. It all balances out.

That's odd. You seem so much more substantive than a cardboard cutout.

Multiplayer can be incredibly addictive. I did a similar thing years ago thinking it was around midnight when 8 came off. It was early hours of the morning!

Who needs heroin when we have its virtual cousin with multiplayer online video gaming? I needed to use that scalper priced new video card that I acquired a few months back, too. Our extravagances must be justified by actually using them.

About the so called future.... Is anyone else tired of Zuckerberg and Facebook yet?

I left Facebook and I'm much happier. I don't need his Metaverse. The more I think it over the less virtual things I need.

I hope his metaverse drops like a lead balloon but it's facebook and lots of people eat that stuff up.

It’s not just Facebook who will be investing billions in the Metaverse. By the time the Metaverse is fully realised, I may be in a verse of my own.

It looks like PS Home to me.

I have the oculus go and I guess that may stop working as they said they would only support it for a year or so a while back... after facebook bought it.

I have PSVR and there's always talk of Apple developing something esp with AR.

I suppose it won't affect how I watch movies for the time being.

I believe they claimed it (Augmented Reality glasses) would cut down on emissions by eliminating laptops, desktops, projectors, tv screens, consoles etc..
Also, by enabling people to have work meetings without being actually present so saving on travel.

Yeah, right! Not this side of 2040 it won’t.

It's a shame that the soundtrack didn't get a high-res physical release. I would definitely have been willing to pay a premium for that. Still, I've been pretty satisfied with just listening to the regular CD. Do you think the Sketchbook version sounds sufficiently different to warrant a purchase?

The Last Kingdom will return for a movie after season 5

In late October 2021, Netflix announced that there will be a movie meaning that season 5 isn’t quite the final season we expected it to be.

Filming is set to commence in early 2022 on the new movie with Alexander Dreymon returning to reprise his role.

Exactly what story will be covered in the movie is yet to be seen, with producer Nigel Marchant saying that season 5 “fully concludes the series” but added, “there was always one more story that we wanted to tell.”

The new movie will be titled “SEVEN KINGS MUST DIE”.

I am hoping I'm in on the first or second wave but there is no data yet on how big the shipments will be. And, I don't know my place in the que. I heard someone else say they were told they were at #39 and seeing how the PS5 availability went I would hope I get in sooner and had a number lower.

If it's here for Xmas I'm happy.

If it's not ... well, I'm still not going to cancel. Maybe by the time it arrives I can afford it.

I will likely get the 3D dongle and maybe even a new screen but one thing at a time.

Necessity is the mother of invention and all that. We will produce more clean renewable energy as we are increasingly forced to do so. It's not like we don't have the ability, but so long as polluting sources are cheaper we will keep sucking at that teat for as long as we can even if we are choking on the air while doing it.
Some of the stuff I mentioned seems to be getting brought up regarding climate change. The most worrying being climate rations. Every person, every household would have a carbon ration (allowance) and going over it would mean an extra charge. You can guess where I’m going with this.

Also, one of our celebs (Joanna Lumley) suggests going back to WW2 rationing, with luxury items more expensive. Hilarious, considering she has travelled all over the world and lived a life of luxury.

I wonder how the entertainment industry would survive a carbon rationing legislation.

The writing is on the walls, Most companies are boasting a goal of going carbon neutral by some upcoming year.

Makes me very glad I have a solar energy producing home. I was happy the system got installed and is up and running.

I hope I do enough for the enviornment to get a pass for watching movies using my new energy efficient home theater.

I'm trying to decide on 10 movies to have on list to view on my new projector if I get it while I'm still alive....

Lucy, Blade Runner 2049, No Time To Die, Jaws, Crawl, 47 Meters Down Uncaged, Godzilla vs Kong, Knock Knock, Underworld, LotR

There's way more than 10 but I want be ready anyway.

I did not see it as extra blame on NF. They just used a metric posted by NF to do some calculations.

The truth is too many people are oblivious to the impact on-line reality has on the planet

I disagree.
1) No incentive to do so. Let me put it this way, let's say someone starts greenflix,
green flix has
a) only 200 films
b) bad films you never heard of
c) charge twice what Netflix charges

will you drop Netflix and go with Greenflix? do you think others will do the same?
what if only two of those choices are true and the last one matches Netflix would that change the answers you just gave what if it is just one.

2)the power is not really in their hands. It does not matter if we are talking Netflix or Blu-ray.com or any other on-line service. I have an internet connection (If greenISP exists I can pick it otherwise neither I nor the site I use can do anything) a signal leaves my ISP and runs over many networks and machines (none of us have a choice on the signal path) it gets to a server (Netflix, blu-ray.com don't own it so they can't decide how green it will be) then that machine sends something back.

Don't get me wrong in theory the company that owns the web service could ask, push and pay for greener alternatives from the host but then that brings us back to my first point.
