Agreed. I love the way my gear sounds to date, having gone through so many small upgrades to get where I am now. I can't really ask for more, seeing as how I live in a condo especially. I would have loved to have sprung for a slightly better sub like an ED or an AV123, but I'm pretty sure I'm borderline when it comes to eviction notices due to noise levels.

My only potential upgrade is to get a display with blacker blacks. My Sammy 4665 was great in it's day, but that day was a year ago. It's satisfactory, but every time I see a completely dark scene, and my screen isn't completely black, I keep thinking about the Kuro's... and it hurts inside

I have mine streamed and the album art will not follow it. TIA.
I just went in the internet and copied the image then placed it on the folder.

You want blacker blacks then go Plasma...as for LCD look at the 650/750/850 series....I have the 650 and i was blown away by how deep the blacks could be on an LCD, 50:000:1 contrast ratio...the 750 has the same with a few more features (i think just mini games and a little more software and nicer GUI) the 850 series have a ridiculous contrast ratio....the KURO is a no brainer but it sure is pricey...

I feel like I can finally post my stuff in here. 99.9% Completion!!! I mean, I can't afford 100% for now,

Back Right Corner of the "Dedicated Home Theater Living Room":

Starring Polk Monitor 50 #1 as...Right Surround

Cool little Star Wars frame! I just suck at picture taking, like Beta.

Polk Monitor 50 #2 and #3 as Center Back Surround and Left Surround:

Gladiator Poster, Bullfighting frame from Spain:

Those cool signs which I am getting two more of when I can find $30 to spare:

Front View:

Grilles off for Show!

Ye Olde A/V Stand (there's an SNES in my room... ):

In the Right Corner, B&W 683 and Martin Logan Dynamo!

Ye Olde Sitting Arrangement:

Bedroom Blu-Rack starring Barricade and the F-18 from ID4:

Bedroom Favorite DVDs Shelf starring X-Wing and Vought F4U Corsair (mind the sealed HD-DVD, )

Tada!

Of course, my living room has such poor sun-lighting that I used the rack lights. For HT, it's always dark in here - a good thing - especially at night, really gives it that movie theater feel. I'll add another pic come night time!

Complete Equipment List:

-Bowers & Wilkins HTM62 Center
-2 Bowers & Wilkins 683 L/R Floorstanders
-3 Polk Monitor 50 Rears
-Martin Logan Dynamo Subwoofer
-Marantz SR-7002 A/V Receiver
-Sony PS3
-Gamecube, PS2, N64, SNES (I love old school games)
-Philips DVD/DivX player
-APC H15 Power Conditioner
-Philips 47" PFL7432D (With that oh-so-lovable-and-yet-oh-so-silly Ambilight feature)
-Marantz RC8001 Universal Remote & the PS3 Remote
-Monoprice Cables, Wires, Hookups, Connects, Etc

...all done for now! Been wanting to put my stuff in here for ages...I wonder where the old pic of my original setup is...AHA! Found it...here's what that same room looked like in January: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=1638

I've been following this project with great interest, JJ, and it's really looking good.

I definitely covet those B&Ws! Someday...

I'm thinking of selling my 4665 for another set, but it may jeopardize my engagement

I definitely want to stay with LCD because I do a lot of PC work, and quite a bit of gaming, so I'd rather not kill myself from paranoia with burn-in with the plasma.

Is this your first de-judder set Eddie? How do you like it?

I love my sammy, i had the 52' 530 series prior to my 52' 650 series, i compared this side by side other LCD's, Sammy/Sharp/Sony all 52' 1080p 120hz models as i could have gotten all of them at the same price..(the sharp $200 less) the sammy's PQ really stood out for me and i was so pleased with the 530 series that i took the leap...120hz takes some getting used to, it is excellent for gaming it really does make a difference, i cannot watch tv without 120hz set to high anymore...its like trying to watch analog tv...it just doesnt happen ! heheh anyhow this is a shot of the black level on my sammy, it truly is impressive..and like you i opted for LCD as i use it for PC & Gaming, LCD's have come a long way.

My girlfriend and I have been looking at a place is not flood prone, which is very common in our area. I have been promised the basement, so I want some feedback on what I am tentatively calling the " MattCave"

I am gonna keep my 42" panny 80u in my room, but will stay with panny for the 58pz800u..i get a pretty decent deal through work. my bd player will be the new panny 50 when it comes in within the next few weeks. I have an xbox 360 elite, which will move downstairs permanently to stop my gf playing guitar hero at 3am keeping me awake when i work in the morning. lol...
For my speakers I have reached a wall so to speak.. I really really really like the Klipsch F3 towers and the little half moon speakers they make for the rears and their bookshelf speakers for my sides * im not sure on model numbers for the last 2 speaker sets off the top of my head, so sorry for no model description* as well as a Klipsch Sub12. But, since new speakers have come out we have our old Polk monitor series all on clearance/open box. I can snag 2 Polk Monitor 70 towers for 204 total, 2 monitor 50's for 160 total, and 2 monitor 40s for 100 bucks, and my manager said the sub is mine if i buy the set for 60 bucks for their 12" woofer. I will not be hanging the speakers if they are satellites so it just comes down to preference with the speakers.
Either way, the set will be surrounded by my Hines Ward Autographed framed jersey, 1970's Steelers Superbowl plaques with team pictures* all 4 and working on finding the 5th* and my replica regulation sized helmet signed by jack lambert in a case to the right, plus room for more merchandise, so any suggestions for speakers or even more Steelers merch to pick up would be appreciated.
