MovieTickets.com reports that Warner Bros.’ IT is now the #1 selling horror film of all time on its ticketing app and site, selling 3x the number of tickets purchased for this year’s acclaimed hit Get Out to date.

MovieTickets.com also found that among its registered users, the advance and remote ticket sales have skewed 52% female and 48% male, and the R-rated feature showed the following age breakdown among purchasers:

Under 19 – 8%

20-29 – 35%

30-39 – 27%

40-49 – 19%

50+ – 11%

IT is also still trending #1 on MovieTickets.com with 50% of all tickets sold by the company in the past 24 hours being from moviegoers wanting to see it in theaters, and that number is likely to stay high through MovieTicket.com’s exclusive AT&T Ticket Twosday promotion.

I'm happy that It is so successful but also really disappointed that The Dark Tower didn't receive a great adaptation, reviews, or box office like It did. I hate to say it, but if I had to choose one to be successful and wildly popular it would be The Dark Tower.

Finally!

I was able to watch IT, today. It lived up to all the hype and I thought it was fantastic. Loved almost everything about it. I'll give it a solid 4/5.

And idk if it was just the showing that I went to or not but right at the end when the title shows "IT: Chapter One" everyone was so surprised and I heard a few people say "Chapter one?" I was just SMH. Do people really think that was the whole story?...

I'm excited for the Blu ray release and also can't wait for Chapter 2. Let's hope they can make it just as good if not even better.

You know, as much as I like it being called "Chapter One" as opposed to "Part One," I also think that it may lead some people (mostly stupid people, probably with no knowledge of the book or miniseries) into thinking there may be multiple more chapters than just the one. Of course, calling it "Chapter One of Two" just sounds stupid. I'm overthinking it.

I've never read the book but I've always been familiar with the mini series. I mean who doesent know about Stephen King's IT? I guess I shouldn't be so surprised by people's clueless-ness when there people out there who don't know the difference between Michael Myers and Jason.....
