Regardless of a make-up award, I did not enjoy Suicide Squad. I don't label films or any form of art or entertainment as garbage. It's all a matter of opinion. But I did not enjoy Suicide Squad, personally. Which was kind of a shame. I was hoping I would. Up to that point, I was a fan of all of David Ayer's work. I think if they had let Ayer cut loose with an R-rating, let him to do more gritty material and not cut his film apart after the fact, I probably would have enjoyed it.

Read the previous posts and you'll have your answer? My bad, this was probably a rhetorical question.

But honestly, it's time to focus on the new film in the DCEU, not reflect on the stuff from the past, which doesn't seem to have an impact one way or another on WW's incoming success.

Is it unreasonable to think this clears 100m this weekend? With the reviews and the hype, it seems many who were considering not seeing it are being brought around by both those things.

Whatever it opens at, I imagine this will be a hit financially. Especially on a $150m budget. I'm excited about what that could mean for the DCEU, female-led superhero movies and comic movies in general.

It's gonna clear $100m domestic. The Deadline estimates are lowballing this. Boxoffice.com was tracking it at $111m on Friday, before the reviews hit. It's gonna overperform those Deadline numbers in a way that Deadpool and Beauty and the Beast did.

The official budget was $120m.

Guardians Vol 2 did $145 million opening weekend didn't it? I don't see why WW can't do just as well. All these estimates are so low to me. I am no box office guru, but everything to me seems like WW will be much bigger than anyone is predicting.

Strange - THR and the LA Times are reporting that WB now states it is $150m (with some suspecting it might be more - key word being "suspecting"). Ultimately, I don't think that number will be all that important in terms of the movie's success.

I think this is going to go over $100 million opening weekend no problem, and if it's as good and audience pleasing as the reviews seem to indicate, the word-of-mouth will buoy it for quite a while.

And I still think The Mummy is going to pose no threat the following weekend.

The word of mouth after the first few weeks is what really counts, IMO. Opening week for a lot of films is good on paper but once word gets out that a film sucks, like Suicide Squad or BvS then the numbers diminish quickly thereafter.

So yeah - I agree.

Hearing and reading that this could bring at least 175 million in total box office based off of really good reviews though wouldn't surprise me either way.

Transformers usually aren't too good with those but they do well... I think SS and BvS did well as well but probably would have done a tad better if people didn't blast them. Especially since they weren't nearly as bad as they made them out to be.

I will be disappointed if it does anything less than $100 million this IS THE MOVIE OF THE SUMMER PERIOD! If this was a male comic book movie we would be talking a $150 million opening no sweat and $500 million domestic. I and others have waited SO LONG for this movie to get made, we have heard all the nonsense over the years that fans are not interested in a movie about Wonder Woman that it just would not make for a intersting movie and this has been in development hell for years I can't wait for tomorrow!

I honestly thought this might have the best chance out of the next 3 DCEU movies. Glad it's getting good reviews.

Still holding at 97%
Average Rating: 7.6/10
Reviews Counted: 85
Fresh: 82
Rotten: 3

It went up to 98% for a moment but it looks like a third rotten review came in.

I like plenty of movies with poor reviews. I hardly ever even read reviews and I don't have time to watch those long youtube reviews. I do like looking at rottentomatoes scores though for some reason. I guess I just like to see what people think overall, even though I will make up my own mind in the theater.

I have to wait till Saturday morning to see it, but I have Dolby Atmos tickets, middle of the theater with a big leather recliner!

It's official. Wonder Woman has been banned in Lebanon about two hours before the Wednesday premiere, although a Tuesday advance screening was shown there without any issues.
