Quaz51 on the Beyond3D forums has bought the game (and likes it a lot I think), but confirmed its native resolution:

1024x768 2xAA temporal

A couple people said the audio is great. I can't wait to go home and play this. How does it compare to Warhawk or COD4? I think those two sound pretty good on a surround sound system. Didn't like GTA. Have to turn it up more just to get it louder compared to the other two. Don't hear much noise out of the rear speakers either.

Hi guys, I got the MGS4, when I click new game, it goes through a series of video clips that I cannot skip. I m not talking about the cut scenes, i know cut scenes can be skip. For the initial video clips when u start a new game, its very annoying, any 1 knows how to skip them? Hope someone knows what I m talking about.

Wow! Between MGS and the Walmart deal - PS3s are flying off shelves.

My friend called 3 Walmarts - 1 was sold out of PS3s, 1 had 1 40 gig left and the last one had one 80 MGS bundle left.

They said they wouldn't hold the 80 gig - so he's sending his wife to get it for him since he's at work.

Crazy, this week is a real shot in the arm for the PS3.

they are very weird, but they are part of the game and just live-action cutscenes.

i was like wtf? when i saw that. the game show questions regarding the PMCs and teh octopus are important.

I think it's good to hear, even if the PS3 wasn't really "down in the gutter" either

The 360 has sold (a little) more in the US for March and April, possibly in May, but that wasn't by a large margin.
Now, with MGS4 out, the PS3 should take a commandable lead at least for June, but possibly June-July in fact (with the shortages that might come up).

With the folloing very much awaited games coming, it should help to keep the momentum going at leat for a while:

- WipEout HD
- Siren: Blood Curse
- Tekken 5
- SOCCOM

which should lead us toward the last quarter with hopefully:

- Resistance 2
- InFamous
- Home
- Little Big Planet
- Bioshock PS3
- Crysis PS3

Talking only about Exclus of course

The PSN seems to be a big part of Sony's strategy to bridge us through the last quarter though...
also, I wish we had a good ol' Fantasy type JRPG/RPG coming to the PS3 before the end of the year

I just bought it and I can say the back says:

Supported HD video output: 480p,720p,1080i,1080p

This sucks because I have the game but it's for my brother for his birthday and I can't get my own compy yet.

Well the game can do 1080p, but like one of the previous posters said, its upscaled from 768p.

so does halo 3, so does cod4, neither of those are 1080p and neither is mgsiv.
