Glad to see this game getting the score it deserves a 10/10 on IGN. IGN reviews are the only ones I trust. 1UP is a joke giving it an A-, that reviewer should be drawn and quartered. Love to see all the 360 fanboys bashing it because they don't have a MGS4 and they're stuck with a shitty system if they don't have a PS3. There's no way this could run on a 360. Hands down probably the best game and most important of this decade...

I am from singapore, got it from the local store, its the standard edition. Is US version different?

how long till people on here start playing this??? im gonna start tonight i think. ive been playing the story mode all day, and ever since the beta ended ive been wanting to play it so bad. havent even checked out the new maps yet, just made my character and logged off.

someone asked about making more then one character a few posts up i think, you have to pay to make more then one character. i found that kinda strange.

And YES...MGSO is a free game that comes WITH MGS4. No need to pay for anything else. It is part of the regular game disc (although i think requires downloading/installing/updating).

Seems like less than .00001% of MGS4 owners know much of anything about MGO.

It's either not worth playing or most everyone is going through the single player mode first.

If you listen to the IGN PS3 podcast. Podcast Beyond, their topic of the week is MGS4. The three editors seemed like they could not say enough about MGS and the MGS experiance. The podcast is virtually spoiler free.

4 hours in so far, and all I can say is wow. I've never been this excited about a game. I can't wait to see how it all plays out. SUPER pumped that IGN gave it a 10. I had a real sour taste in my mouth with regards to IGN after they gave GTAIV a 10; this has certainly redeemed their credibility in my book.

As for MGO, its not suppose to be a COD4 experience, but unfortunately (from Beta experience) most people will play it like that, making the online experience not as fun as it should be. On the same note, I feel like they could have made things a little bit more beneficial for sneaking than it is thus far. The levels could be make differently for example to promote hiding and stuff.

Did they fix the damage thing? (I haven't played since the beta, I'm not gonna waste any time on the online game till I beat the single player all the way through

) I remember you could unload into a guy and if he got a lucky head shot on you you were toast no matter how many shots you got off first. Thats what turned me off from the online game.

Because they didn't manufacture a different one for Canada, and Canadian Laws require you to Have English and French on Covers of Movies and Games,

Looks like Hideo did what George Lucas could not...and that is deliver something that everyone knew would kick ass. Indy 4 was a letdown but the hype was so long.

The Hype for Indy 4... It was so-so, they really didn't do much for it. It was big online, but not from person to person

You won't be completely lost but as long as you saw one of the gametrailer retrospective things that covered it, or read up on the MGS2 wiki page, you should be good to go.

well the recaps explain everything... watch the gametrailers retrospective pretty much tells u everything...
