I honestly like having X-Men separate. As it is too many characters get shafted to make room for Wolverine and the ones played by stars; if they included the other Avengers then we'd never see some of the less-popular mutants. And X-Men on their own have plenty of good stories to tell.

If the movies fails, the studio isn't going to want to say, "it wasn't as good as it needed to be." or "it wasn't what the target audience wanted."--- it's always nice to have an exterior factor out of your control to blame.

And some of the passionate defenders of the film (if they end up liking it)--will also want to blame somebody for it's failure (if it flops).

I will be shocked if the studio actually blames the racists who decried MBJ's casting if the movie fails. Execs don't usually bring politics into those sort of statements.

And is their any doubt that if it does fail the some outlets won't post obnoxious bullsh*t like, "Did RACISM cause Fantastic Four to fail?" .........??

My stance has always been I don't care as long as he gives a good performance. But then again I freely admit I'm not a comic book fan and have no feelings towards the FF. However, I do like Bond movies and wouldn't mind if they cast a black man in the part, like a younger Idris Elba, for example.

I am just hoping after this people will finally realize/appreciate how good Evans really was as Johnny Storm. Alba was miscast(and that's coming from a HUGE Alba fan) but the other members of the Fantastic Four in the first two films were cast perfectly.

I don't know if they were cast well or not based on their faithfulness to the material but both of those movies sucked and I didn't really find anyone's acting good so even if the cast of this movie give their worst performances ever, that will still not make me reassess the first two movies.
