I barely watched any movies for what, 6 months? I have a one-track mind so all I did was play games with the exception of a few major releases like Last Jedi. So cut me some slack! I'm rusty!

Not worth $34.99, because the 4K picture quality is lousy.
Hey, it's Universal Studios, did you really expect anything decent?

Your opinion. I think the entire set is well worth $35.

Exactly. It's worth that and more. I think $35 for this set is a great deal and better than a lot of what's out there. It's in my top 10.

Beside the third one that isn't a real upgrade from the Blu-ray the movies look pretty good, the first and second look awesome and the fourth is demo material. $35 for 4 Blus, 4 DCs and 4 UHD is dirt cheap.

Edit: LOL you have a DLP projector, all the movies must look like crap on that!

Since we are on the topic of bidets, I’ll throw this out there. My wife bought a portable one a couple of months ago. I didn’t even know those things existed! Ha

How the hell would you know with a 1080p projector setup?

Actually, movies, sports. hell even the nightly newscast, all look great projected to 120 inches.
Much better then that postage stamp sized flat panel, with the soap opera effect picture, your watching. LOL
The level of awesomeness and immersion you feel is truly difficult to express using words alone.
That's why projectors blow away flat panels everyday of the week.
Can't wait for the NFL and NCAA college football regular seasons to start!

BTW-I just upgraded to a brand new ViewSonic-4K PX727 UHD Projector.
Can't wait to get that bad boy hooked up!

None of that means jack when it comes to properly displaying HDR, which is absolutely crucial to getting a proper UHD picture.

I thought they were just classroom projectors. I’ve owned 3 projectors and always opted for home theatre projectors.

I had a Batman 1960’s tv series view master when I was a youngster. Think I tossed it after I looked at once.

Buying A Home Theater Projector - What Are The Pros and Cons? - YouTube
My stamp size panel have twice as much pixel than your 4 times bigger screen, I have the deepest black you can get, HDR 10, Dolby Vision and it's worth about 4 times your projector, I'm not going to the theater because I hate projected video, it looks like shit and would still look like shit it in 4000k. You are allowed to like your projector but it's not even close to my TV. Anyway my point was you can judge any 4k movies with your setup since you can't display them properly. (and wouldn't even with a 4k projector IMO)

Personally, I loved using my projector, but there are some caveats. You have to ideally have a darkened room, without white walls, and a decent screen. I didn't have all those factors, though, and what my OLED lacks in sheer theatrical screen size, it makes up in for in having a much better picture. The projector image looks really faded and washed out in comparison. But again, I also didn't have the ideal setup for it.

It tends to be a preference though. If you're trying to replicate the theater experience, and not necessarily have the clearest, sharpest picture possible, that's what a good home theater projector does well.
