The owner of the frame shop was really good about the situation. She apologized and admitted up front that they shouldn't have drymounted it. They are getting a replacement from eBay. So glad it went that way instead of a big argument.

Couple photos of my TDK Olly Moss. I'm still leaning towards the darker version. Is it suppose to be this dark, or did I get the 'double ink'?

That is a dark one indeed, I believe these are the prints they are actually doing something about. The ones that are more on the blue side I didn't get the impression they are doing anything about, but the ones where you can't make out the mout or some of the writing I thought they were going to do something. I'm nervous to get mine now.

Mine looks EXACTLY like yours does in the pics. Please post back when you here back from them with what they tell you.

I haven't read anything about them not being numbered. I went back through some threads quickly on expressobeans and couldn't find anything about that, but there are a couple of long threads on the subject so I could have missed it.

Got a response back within the hour. That was quick!

Justin responded by saying he wanted a more close-up photo around the mouth/cowl area, but he said from the looks of it, it's a darker one. Off to snap a few more and will return with a final response.

I was under the impression that the screwed up ones were too light in color, not too dark. Mine was quite a bit lighter than this one, I actually prefer the darker tone to it, you can clearly make out Batman and his mouth, and Batman is a dark character, the ones that were too light I thought were the ones Mondo would replace. But I could be totally wrong about that.....

Glad it worked out and the owner admitted they should not have done that and a replacement is being ordered for. But again, always make sure to remind the framer at the time of your first visit, to not dry mount the item in question, this way they will know ahead of time and not assume which is what this framer did.

My DKR print arrived today and it looks alot like CdnBlu's except it appears to have alot more 'speckling' around batmans head and shoulders, should it look like this or is it one of the messed up ones? It looks alot brighter in my pics than it does in the flesh too

Also just FYI from another board I go to, if you're getting a replacement you'll have to pay the shipping costs back to Mondo for the bad one.

Mondo is going to be getting me a replacement. Just have to sit tight and wait to hear back from them.

Sucks about the shipping costs though. If I'm gonna have to cover shipping costs I may as well just eBay the damn thing.

Don't want to cut into the $350k they brought in on the sale of them If I were them I'd just send out new ones, unnumbered would be fine by me I suppose and be done with it. Why create the overhead of receiving potentially hundreds of prints and having to open each one and dispose of the posters, that doesn't seem worth the effort to me.

I tend to agree with you guys, if a print was knowingly screwed up when printing and those were shipped out, one would think Mondo would credit the customer who sent theirs back. This edition, while massive in size, seemed to have been printed in advance, because it did not take months to get them out as they stated, but a matter of weeks.

Speaking of Mondo, new prints get released tomorrow (The Raid, Looney Tunes: Duck Season, and Paranorman). I was surprised to see Mondo offering the variant for Looney Tunes, I was under the impression Sideshow offered the variants for the Disney releases. With only 95 of them being made, those will sell out very fast.

They will release 3 new posters tomorrow.

I believe 1 is The Raid and 2 Looney Tunes (1 design, but different colors) and another movie poster.
