Scannning now, hoping to find more channels of course.

Does anyone know how well those HD antennas work?

I gave up on regular cable and satellite about 2 years ago, just never got time to watch regular tv and I rather wait for shows to hit BD or DVD even to watch without commercials. Plus I can buy more Blu :P

Just wondering if they are any good and how many channels you can actually catch, would try it out...

I have two of the same OTA HD antennas (one for each HDTV). It's an indoor/outdoor one that I have mounted outside, as I need all the help I can get in my area. It works great and I get several HD channels. I had to have one of these for my setup because DirecTV doesn't yet offer my local channels in HD.

It was like $55 at Radio Shack, and definitely worth it.

The Commerce Department reported a last-minute rush for the $40 converter box coupons: It received 319,990 requests Thursday, nearly four times the daily average for the past month, and another 428,198 requests on Friday, for about 1.5 million since Monday. In all, the government has mailed coupons for almost 60 million converter boxes. The limit is two coupons per household.

It takes nine business days for a coupon to reach the mailbox.

For some procrastinators, that meant missing some important broadcasts.

Tuyen Luu waited until Friday to apply for a coupon at a nonprofit help center in Houston. By the time it arrives, the NBA finals could be over if the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Orlando Magic on Sunday. "I won't get to see Game 5," Luu said.

Lost one channel completely with the changeover. I figure the antenna is just too far away so i can't get the signal. Every other channel is just fine though, so I'm not going to complain about losing it anyway. I don't think there was anything on that channel I watched either!

What's up with that? I've had digital cable in the house already so, why is there still more analog channels than digital? Anyone else experience similar problem?
HUH!

FYI - the digital switch on June 12 2009 is for free broadcast tv received over an antenna.

So what are you cable subscribers taking about? The switch to broadcast digital does not affect tv subscribers.

Comcast dropped channels out of their "basic" tier in the analog cable scanning range (2-110) and moved them to "digital" only meaning you have to have a QAM tuner or a converter supplied by them

I lost about 10 channels over the past couple months and with the open bandwidth, finally got FX HD on my HD box
