I hate the little foldover plastic latches that never want to lock correctly. The ones without are far better.

Nexpak is Amaray and Alpha, they bought them both

I always felt the alphas were the best DVD case, nice and secure.

Your best bet is to contact their customer service and take a picture of the ones you want

I agree it's weird how the screen printed ones are just slightly wider.

My personal preference is the case that Casino Royal came in. It has the Blu-ray Disc logo at the top and is raised with silver lettering. The spine where the case opens has a flap that you can either snap closed when the case is closed or you can snap inside the case and then close the case. I prefer the second option as the first option sometimes you can break the small tabs that hold the flap in place if you close the cases first and then snap into place. The other style case I've only come across with 20th Century Fox movies. I found a place that sells Blu-ray cases and think it is posted in here in a earlier post. I'm hoping they sell the cases I prefer. I'll try and post some pics of this later...

the flap will fold inside the case and snap shut so you don't have to snap it after you close the case. That works best with those....

So I got my cases from Sleevetown. They are very similar to the blu-ray cases with the etched logo, but not exactly the same. The logo looks like it might be slightly smaller and some smaller visual differences. Also the case is a slightly darker blue than the other etched cases that I already had. If I can get all my cases the same than it's not a big deal for me. I just need some multi-disc cases that match so I can swap out my PoTC movies, M:I III, and Planet Earth.

I am with you 100%, I hate that. I hated the ones on the DVD cases as well...the ones that had the two little locking tabs...one at the top and one at the bottom. I used to tear them off and HURL them into the GAR-BAGE! I also throw all of the advertising crap away and tear that little security tab out. I have a paranoia that someone is tracking me via that tab...LOL! I have a wee bit of OCD when it comes to stuff like this...

Once I found that you can snap the tab onto the inside of the case instead of using it as a clasp to keep the case closed, I haven't had a problem with these. The annoyance I've had with these, though, are the ones that come clasped. Some come with the tab snapped into the case, and until I got one that was "locking" the case, I didn't know they were the same. You'd think it'd just be cheaper to have one company make every BD case and then have the studios buy them. Oh well . . . it's not as bad as the differences between the cases on standard DVD's. Warner had the crappy ones for those too.

at least there aren't any cardboard ones with a plastic snap on the right side!

i gotta say, the cases are close enough. no big deal. i do have a feeling that, in five years or so, when the blu ray side has won, we are going to see a transformation in case style. we'll see tho.

Warner owned the design and the place that made them

Once they sold it, they magically stopped using them

it's not only that (i mean the difference), apparently. In UK, there are some BD with slimmer case, while the other is thicker. The thin one is region-free, while the thick one is region B (Europe, UK, Australasia, Africa)
