Blu-ray difference in quality....

Hello...Newbie here.

I've finally done it!! I've bought a PS3 and i'm in love with it and want to have its babies

Have watched a few movies and one thing that i've noticed is the difference in quality of some blu-ray discs. For example Con Air was amazing, fine detail that you could almost touch BUT Mission Impossible was imo only a "very" good picture. These movies are from a similar time (the 90's) so i would have presumed would look as good as each other.

There's probably a really hi-tech answer that won't make any sense to me but thought i'd mention it anyway.
