Zombieland- Review thread! - Page 2 - Blu-ray Forum

Caught a showing today and thought it was a lot of fun and was pleasently surprised at how much character work they worked into a slim 90 minutes with all of the gags and action. The film works because of the little details and jokes that resonante and last and the characters that you actually learn to care for unlike 90% of horror films. It's not quite Shaun of the Dead or Return of the Living Dead, but it's pretty darned close.

There is a series being adapted from the great comic series the Walking Dead right now. Frank Darabont is developing it for AMC.

Ok so I understand that all of the characters are named after locations they want to get to. But I don't remember if they give an explanation for the two sisters. Why would two sisters try to be going to two different places?

it's where they are from.

Columbus happened to be going to Columbus.

Saw it yesterday. Lotsa fun. It could ahve had a few more "kills" in it, but overall it was a good time.

sounds interesting for a comedy, but can't see even comparing it to romero's movies, they seem like different categories all together....IMO its like comparing naked gun to dirty harry

True. Nothing scary in this one. Pure spoof, right out of the gate too.
