90's Frankenstein is still excellent though. Watched it a few months ago.
Given how much of Wolf was reshot and edited away, it's a wonder it's as watchable as it is.

I wouldn't say badly. Frankenstein looks great on BD already and has never had extras. I mean I would love it if Arrow released it with a commentary and documentary, but it's pretty far down my list of wants since the Sony release looks great.

Wolf does need video work, but since I found myself disliking the movie last time I wouldn't buy it again anyway.

I kinda wish there was a double pack of just Wolf and Frankenstein because I have almost no need for the old 2007 blu-ray of Bram Stoker's Dracula and the new 4K remaster makes it absolutely obsolete.

Oh well. I'm picking up the standalone release of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein at B&N in an hour or so.

I can't imagine there will ever be a new bells and whistles edition of Frankenstein- it was maligned well beyond what it deserved when it came out. I loved it as I was pretty high on Branagh at the time and my argument has always been that you may not like his approach but I think the fimmaking is confident and assured and does exactly what it sets out to do.

I've read Branagh defend his approach and say he wouldn't change a thing if he could do it again. And then, lots of people, Darabont included, were pretty sour on his interpretation at the time.

This kind of stuff would make for some great extras.
