ROTF....the robot fights were front and center this time, not off to the side or rolling through the shot.

ROTF is better CGI and action redux of the first one. Almost identical story.

I'd say Tranformers 1 is the better of the two. It at least tried.

However if terrorists held a gun to my head and said "watch TF2 or die", I would have to consider all my options.

Yeah it seems that people like us are rare lol. I liked them equally. The visual effects are just mind blowing in both films (ROTF seems a bit better on that part though).

ROTF was way too long and drawn out. Not to mention all the unecessary humor. Yea the fight scenes were cool, but by the end of the movie it was so repetitive, I was ready for it to end. The first one had a pretty cool story and didn't over do it with comedy and EXTENDED fight scenes. Still.... both movies look amazing on Blu, so they're both on my Christmas wishlist

I like number 2, but it had me rolling my eyes far more often
I even found parts of number 1 funny, but in number 2 it was so forced and so dominating.

The original will be the best 99% of the time. I'll give credit to ROTF because of Devastator and the IMAX scenes.

the first Transformers was the better one, alot of the toilet humor and The Twins brought down the second one for me

Eh, I don't get all the hate for the 2nd one.

The story is no worse than the 1st and there's more bots and action.

It certainly entertained me. All I can ask from a movie with big transforming robots.

The first one was like going to bed with an exotic but slightly skanky hooker after hearing about them for a long time. You're left feeling pretty good and will brag about it.

The second was like going to bed with a pile of hookers; just body parts and WTF everywhere and more (plot) holes. You're left feeling slightly numbed and ashamed.
