Cook, Thief is a trip, although I count both it and Cinema Paradiso as 1990 films, since that's their US release date. But Paradiso is one of the best films of the decade for sure.

Gotta add Major League to the list. Forgot it came out in 89. Seen it 100 times and it is still hilarious.

Hey, I was desperate to pad out my list of favorites. I don't consider 1989 a good year for movies.
