Default Batman 1989

any sites with UK reviews on this UK bluray?

I've read users reviews, some say reference quality and others say not much better than DVD

I wouldn't call it refererence or not much better than the DVD, there's so much crap spouted around certain forums. Any way, they all look pretty darn good, considering that:
(a) They're Warner titles.
(b) They've more than likely been taken from the same masters as the 2005 special editions.

depends on what your reference is... i would certainly say they look a lot better than dvd and have an incredible filmic look to them.. i added all four to my collection... batman and robin.. looks bizzare on blu-ray.. all the neon and purple/green colours do really stand out

I got it and the PQ is good for an old film. Never checked the extras and compaired them to the US TBH.

The U.S. Blu-ray is simply great, a massive upgrade in both sound and picture from what the dvd presented. I imagine the U.K. release, by the same exact studio that released it in America, Fox, is identical in quality.

The UK release is missing the isolated soundtrack and the trivia pop-ups.

Yes, I believe everything else is on there. It's a shame about the isolated soundtrack though, its one of the few I would actually want to listen to.

Subtitles: Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Norwegian, Swedish, English For the Hearing Impaired

Thanks, that really is a shame. But I still bought it, since everything else is there. Now if they removed the commentaries, and the 3d interactive tour of the car, then I probably wouldnt buy it.

The isolated soundtrack is sweet by Nelson Riddle.

Sorry to bump up this old thread, but wasn't sure where else to put this question.

Does anyone know if the discs in this set are remastered?

No they aren't. A friend of mine bought that set last year and when I asked him he said they are the 2008 discs.
