the piece of music in LOTR that crops up in all 3 films, much the way the Bond theme drifts in and out 3 or 4 times per film. I'm humming it right now...can you hear it?

Ummm, no one's mentioned it yet, but the Mighty Ducks theme! Thing was it was actually tweaked to sound more epic in each subsequent movie so by D3, it was the best theme ever!

Besides that...
- Boondock Saints
- The Rock
- Crimson Tide
- The Last Samurai
- Tears of the Sun
- Pirates of the Carribean
- Jurassic Park
- Transformers
- Dark Knight
- Animated Disney movies in the 90s and early 00s had awesome musical scores (not necessarily a "theme" but still good)
- Gladiator
- pretty much anything Hans Zimmer, Harry Gregson-Williams, James Horner, Alan Menken, Stephen Scwhartz, Tim Rice, Howard Ashman, etc...

In addition to the more common themes listed, one that has a nasty habit of circulating through my brain for days is "The Final Countdown" theme. Just thinking about it has got it started again.

James Bond and Indiana Jones themes. But the theme from Psycho and Vertigo gets to me too. TV theme would have to be The Munsters.

Ya damn right!

Who is the man that would risk his neck
For his brother man?

When there's danger all about?

Right On!

Good point. Being more specific I would say that 'Ben's Death/Tie Fighter Attack' ALWAYS gives me goosebumps listening to it specially when the kettledrums kick in.

And two others that I just though of is 'The Ecstasy of Gold' during 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' and 'Man with a Harmonica' during the final showdown of 'Once Upon A Time In The West'.

Ennio Morricone - "The Ecstasy of Gold", live in Warsaw, PL

One of my favorite scores has always been in The Empire Strikes Back during the asteroid field sequence when the Millinium Falcon is trying to avoid the tie fighters.

Plus the majority of Top Gun!

With the obvious Star Wars and LOTR.

I enjoy the Terminator and Braveheart theme and the first song during the opening of the The Island.

- LOL - I just added 'Morricone Conducts Morricone (2004) DVD' to my Amazon wish list.

I also just received Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope [COLLECTOR'S EDITION] [ENHANCED] [SOUNDTRACK] this past week to go along with my Star Wars original soundtrack anthology trilogy 4 CD box set.

I am sure that you already have both of those.
