Which movie will you be watching during Xmas - Page 2 - Blu-ray Forum

I taped the 1999 version of A Christmas Carol starring Patrick Stewart yesterday, so we will be watching that on Christmas. We had a "White Christmas" party at our house last night with a group of people who brought food and treats and watched the Bing Crosby classic.

The end of the movie reminds me of the old holmes but i'll have to see the movie one more time to get a decent feel for it. I like to see a movie several times before rating movies.

I have the 14-disc box of all the Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes films and have been going through them... I'm a longtime fan of the books as well. It's cool that they are rebooting the character, I just hope they don't get away from what makes him Sherlock Holmes for the sake of action.

They make holmes and watson into fighters which I wasn't fond of. I'm used to seeing holmes as a laid back investigator not a fighting machine. Towards the end of the movie resembles the classic Sherlock Holmes feel.

Christmas vacation is great and I will probably watch that one. Unfortunately, I have neglected to buy it in Blu.

With good reason it's only stereo and the transfers not supposed to be that good.

Watched that too! In AMCHD! Watched White Christmas yesterday and recorded it.
