The lack of extras for 1 and 2 had no bearing on my getting the set, because I haven't watched the extras for them since I first got the DVDs when they came out. I still have those bonus discs somewhere but I've never had any interest in watching them again, and this is going back years now since they first came out on DVD.

Same with me. I've been waiting for a while now and will continue to wait until the first two are done properly.

the reboot thing is the craziest thing ever they have done in hollywood. It is completely Unnessasary i will be boycotting this reboot. Sony is out of their minds with this reboot. Spider man was never a vigilante and dark brooding character. Why do every hollywood studio want a "dark knight" even superman now should be like this. Hollywood is out of their freaking minds

Reboots just make it seem like Hollywood made a mistake. Like...oops...do over. Spider-Man was great. They could wait like ten years and let these three sit at least. It's going to be funny explaining that it's not a sequel but a reboot when this does came out. I had that issue with the incredible hulk, everyone thought it was a sequel.

I agree completely. I was excited for Spider-man 4. I will not be giving sony my money for this. I'm out.

pretty much how i feel. the only reboot (remake) i would have understand is if they decided to redo Spider Man 3 but other than that, the first 2 are just fine

As long as the reboot does a decent portrayal of Venom I'm onboard. Since he got shafted in Spidey 3.

I'd pick it up if you can find a decent price. The reboot is a ways off, and there isn't a guarantee that they won't just release the first 2 separately. I have a feeling that they'll put something together though, considering the first one had a bonus disc when the second came out, and then the second had "2.1" released when the third was coming out.

As for the reboot I think I'll at least wait until at least SOME amount of information is released. All that has been announced is that it exists, and it's coming out in 2012. I'm kind of against the idea of rebooting something that is still pretty recent, but if they tell a good Spider-Man story I'm not gonna skip out just because I thought it was too soon.

Personally anyone who doesn't pickup the boxset is crazy. The picture is reference quality - outstanding.

Yes No. 3 was an awful film. I don't see a reason to reboot - they did a great job for 1 & 2.

i didnt get what Sony Pictures meant by going back to when Peter Parker is attending school. are they trying to do a smallville on Spiderman?

the Blu ray of the first movie is relatively good. so good that u can tell the goblin CG actually suck quite badly. 2 is the best, as with most part twos

i didnt like 3 in the theatres but have since grown to enjoy it on DVD and more so on Blu ray

I am one of those "The 3rd moviw sucks! BOOO!" people, but I really really enjoyed the first 2. I think a reboot is needed after what they did in the 3rd movie...

However, since the news of the reboot is coming out, I might as well buy the box set of the 3 movies now, since the next movies will be a new storyline.
