Ben Foster would be good, as he has been excellent in every role I've seen him in.

I have always thought that Charlie Hunnam, from Sons of Anarchy, would do a good job playing him. He certainly looks enough like him and after becoming a fan through SOA, could definitely see him pulling it off.

Lil Wayne looks more like Cobain than Foster!

Its not just about the looks, but the voice; seen The Doors? Actually Val Kilmer doesnt look at all as Jim Douglas Morrison, but he pulled out really good the voice, and thats what counts the most for a biopic like this in my opinion

Kilmer was really amazing in that. Apparently they played songs of him singing to the remaining members of The Doors and they couldn't tell whether it was Kilmer or Morrison. He was incredible at singing in that movie.

No idea who should play Cobain but as long as they can act then looks should be secondary. They need to have him somewhat closely resemble Cobain so that it doesn't look silly. the singing part doesn't really matter because Foxx didn't sing in Ray but Phoenix did in Walk The Line so it is up to whoever they get.

What about Charlie Hunnam from Son's of Anarchy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Hunnam

Good actor and look like Cobain - age is probably about right too.

After seeing him in Lords of Dogtown, my vote goes to Emile Hirsch. We all know the kid can act, and they did a good job of making him look pretty rough and f**ked up in Lords. I think he'd make a great Curt.

Good call! I didn't even think about him, but looking at that picture and knowing how good an actor he is, I think he'd be a great choice.

It seems like the majority is pointing to Ben Foster though, which I kind of expected.

It doesn't look like he would require much make-up - a dead ringer!
