By the way, you should leave the PS3 settings set to 1080p, even if it is a 720p television. You should let the TV do its own downscaling, not the PS3.

Thanks cns1113, quetzalcoatl and Driver_King for your wise relpies. But I know it's not the TV, because my parents have an HDTV in the other room, and me and my brother experienced it on their TV also on our old HDMI cable. So I guess it must either be both HDMI cables or the PS3. The PS3 is like two years old or more, and we use it and have used it daily ever since we got it. But when we first got it, we weren't blu-ray/HD heads, so we were using its supplied AV cable for about a year before we learned about the HDMI cable and something clicked and that's when we got into blu-ray and such. But when we do set our PS3 on 1080p it does look a whole lot better. But I thought it wasn't healthy to do so. But I just now changed it and I'm checking it out. Seems like it might be doing better. But as long as it's not a bad thing to have it in 1080p even if it's a 720p TV, I guess we'll do that from now on.

And to go back on lighting. Me and my brother are in a small dark bedroom. It's only slightly brighter in daytimes than at nighttimes as we have our windows covered up using cardboard cutouts from big cardboard boxes. They're painted white on one side, so it makes it cooler in the house, because we live in hot ass Texas.

Anyway, I'm testing it out and it seems to be a lot better than it was. I'll come back if I get any more info. At the moment, we don't know anybody else who uses the PS3 except on of my brother's friends, and it's up to him to ask him. But thanks a lot for the feedback, guys. I'll catch y'all later.
