Default 40 inches and up XBR9 owners, opinions of these picture adjustments?

Picture mode: Sports
Backlight: 6 (try 7 to compare)
Picture: 80
Brightness: 50
Color: 55
Hue: 0
Color Temperature: Cool
Sharpness: 15
Noise reduction: Auto
MPEG Noise Reduction: Medium
Motionflow: Standard
CineMotion: Auto 1

Advanced Settings:

Black Corrector: High
Adv Contrast Enhancer: Medium
Gamma: 1
Auto Light Limiter: off
Clear White: off
Wide Color: Standard
Live Color: off (it will be grayed out)

White Balance settings:

R-Gain: 0
G-Gain: "
B-Gain: "
R-Bias: "
G-Bias: "
B-Bias: "

Any thoughts if you have tried these settings? feel free to post your thoughts/views on them.

I don't have a xbr9, but those settings look WAY off. Here is what tweak TV suggests:

Picture Modes
Picture Mode : Custom
Color Temperature : Warm 2
Aspect Ratio : Full


Picture Settings

Backlight : 3

Picture (Contrast) : 52

Brightness : 50

Color : 50

Hue : G2

Color Temperature : Warm 2

Sharpness : MinMPEG Noise Reduction : Off

MotionFlow : Off

Cinemotion : Auto 1

Advanced Settings

Black Corrector : Off
Adv. Contrast Enhancer : Off
Gamma : -1
Auto Light Limiter : Off
Clear White : Off
Wide Color : Standard
White Balance : Factory Default

Those settings are WAY TOO DARK. No offense, I'm asking those who own a XBR9 that can test the setting so they can tell me how they look to them.

I found some new settings here: LINK

Picture mode CUSTOM
Backlight 7
Picture 85
Brightness 55
Color 49
Hue R1
Color Temp Warm 1
Sharpness Minimum
Noise Reduction Off
MPEG Noise Reduction (this was left off so you'll have to play with this option)
Motion Flow On (it didn't specify whether to use standard or high)
Cinemotion this was left off so you'll have to play with this option as well

Advanced Settings

Black Correction Off
Adv. Contrast Enhancer Off
Gamma -2
Auto Light Limiter Off
Clear White Off
Wide Color Standard
Live color off (this will be grayed out)

White Balance Settings

R Gain 0 R Bias 9
G Gain 0 G Bias 0
B Gain -13 B Bias -20

Let me know your opinions on them XBR owners.

while i don't own that tv, i know that is a really nice highly advanced HDTV and i think at that dollar amount that you spent, if it were me, i'd pay the 300+ to have it professionally calibrated. i know that set cost you some coin, so i'm just saying...

oh yeah, really nice tv! i love sony tv's!

That's what I'm going to probably end up doing. All this different calibrations are going to drive me mad. Once my financial situation improves, it'll be easier to do. For now, I want to see what my fellow XBR9 owners settings are (to compare notes, test out their settings and they'll test out mine and give feedback).
