I personally found "Watchmen" to be a major disappointment and one of the most overrated movies of 2009. It is the only movie theater experience I have ever had where I actually fell asleep half way through because I was so bored by what was happening on screen.

The other two purchases are good deals though

Kung Fu Panda is the best Dreamworks film, rivaling even Pixar, dare I say it.

Excellent choices. The best part is that you got them while they are cheap. Good for you. Most of us payed a little over $20.

Kung Fu Panda is the best looking BR I've watched yet. It's simply stunning.

Watchman KFP have great quality.

but id4 could look better. audio is fine, but seems like they didn't really do anything to the print.

Kung Fu Panda is MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER. I would have paid $50 for it! The jokes are non-stop funny, picture quality is amazing, audio shakes the house...

"You guys are so much bigger than your action figures... except you mantis... you're about the same"

ID4 is a great movie also, love Will Smith.

Haven't seen Watchmen, dont really care to, so I can't comment on the blu-ray.

It all depends if you like the movies, but it seems you got them at a good price. Before I buy any titles that have been out awhile, like those, I always check Amazon, their sellers and Ebay for prices on new and used copies. And I buy from whichever I think I'm getting the best deal on.

I love Watchmen on blu! It's actually a movie that I enjoy more with repeated viewing. I want to get ID4 on blu too someday. Haven't seen Kung Fu Panda.

Why is Independence Day referred to as ID4 rather than ID?

I actually don't know... perhaps because ID is too common an acronym so in order to avoid confusion we subconsciously came up with Independance Day + July 4 = ID4?

On another note, it's probably a good thing they didn't make any more movies, what would they be abbreviated as? ID2-4? ID3-4? ID4-4?

I think it was mostly a marketing gimmick at the time, giving the movie a catchy abbreviation so that people would remember it. So, the movie folks advertised it as "ID4," probably because it's a combination of Independence Day and July 4th.
