2 channel audio for old movies

I have only 2 options
1. I give 2 channels as uncompressed audio

2. create a fake 5.1 only if members of this forum insist for 5.1
or
3. Ask them to wait till the members of this forum are ready and ask for such titles with 2 channles of audio?

2 channels uncompressed would be the best, But if your client insist you for putting fake 5.1 then what will you do?

Why not propose both an uncompressed 2-channel track and a quality 5.1 (or even 7.1) track on the disc, like catalog releases of older American films?

Guys, you continue to talk of the impossible. To begin with this movie was originally in mono and I can guarantee there is not a single stem, available of the original audio recordings. Thus a 5.1, let alone a 7.1 mix is impossible. The only thing possible and which is what you will end up getting, if you continue to ask for 5.1, 7.1 etc. is a mix with the same mono audio, single channel, mixed into all the 5 channels and maybe even in the .1 channel if you insist on it. Be very careful what you ask for, for you may very well get it. Just not the way you are thinking of it in your mind. The likes of MoserBaer are very good at that stuff. If you don't believe me, just go check out some of their DVDs.

PS: Please Mr. Chandna, excuse some of us, for we know not what we ask for. Lets just stick to the original audio.

Sanjay, if Warner can take a mono source and provide superb quality 5.1 mixes for films such as Gone With The Wind or The Wizard Of Oz, I'm sure a professional Indian company can come up with something at least passable.

Besides, if you read what I said, I didn't say "give us 5.1" I said give us both. It's perfectly possible to include both a 2.0 track and a 5.1 track on the disc in separate streams.

Mr Chandna are you authoring 3 idiots for BIG HOME VIDEO if yes then is there any problem in Authoring stage which is causing delays in the release of blu ray.........

since you have got new and best encoder then iam expecting the quality to be best ever or best indian blu ray till date.........!!

I am sorry that I cant disclose the titles we are at present working or forthcoming titles. Recently my all cleints requested not to disclose the name of titles. Even one of the client signed Non Discloser agreement with us.Regarding the quality I assure you that we will give our best.If there is any problem in source , we immediately inform to our clients to change the source but if they insist that they cant , we dont have any other option to go ahead.But recently no bad source received by us recently so be assured that you will be getting the best from us.You are right ccHDe from Cinemacraft is best and most expensive in the world At present it is being used by not more than 50 Authoring houses in the world.
