Haha, if the studio wants it bad enough, there will be sequel. In the originals he got shot to death repeatedly by cops once...he recovered. He got his head chopped off....He got blown up....and they still came back for more. :P

I enjoyed this one as well . . . I think it's a good addition to the original, but it definitely doesn't replace it. I'd pick it up on Blu, definitely.

Afraid the $200 mil even though its a comedy is way beyond what it acutally made.

Superbad - cost $20 million to make
has made $118 Million
Opening Weekend $33 Million

Halloween 2007 has made $56 million and opened with 26 million

The fact that people have said this movie isn't like his normal gross out flicks-make me more inclined to actually see it.

Same here. I think House of 1000 Corpses is quite possibly one of the stupidest movies I've ever seen, and a shameless, embarrassing attempt at remaking the Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Devil's Rejects was quite a bit better, but Halloween I think is his best yet. Not that that makes him Spielberg, but at least it was an improvement.

Yeah House was him basically cutting his teeth as a new director, gaining him a cult following, then he made Devil's Rejects which IMO was far better. I loved how he used a Lynryd Skynryd(sp?) song at the end of that one during the shootout.

MGM theatrically, Weinstein will handle all media distribution.
