Is it SCEI making an announcement? What are the chances this announcement has nothing to do with thier gaming division? Everything I have seen says, "Sony" and not a specific sub set of thier company.

Any chances it could be a BDA announcement or something else?

i really hope a price drop. This will do good for BD sales.
or if not
"Firmware 2.0 support Profile 1.1" announcement.
either way, it can increase BD sales

Well it is an American website, I'm assuming that they just insinuated SCEA. You could be right but chances are it's SCEA.

bdp-s500 to retail at 399, bdp-s300 cut to 299. both players will support 1.1 and both include the spiderman trilogy that would be some good news. or a buy a sony 1080p tv of a 1999 value or higher and get a free ps3 or bdp-s300/

Wow, and you know what, with Sony making 2.8 Billion USD on their recent IPO that money can go a LONG way to ofset the cost of the PS3. By the way Sony has stated that the 2.8 billion in it's entirety is going to further fund Sony projects Bravia TV and the playstation consoles.

Maybe, with all this new money, this announcement will be much bigger then I'm even hoping for!

LOL I was thinking the exact same. It's all about ME and only ME. Who cares if the PS3 sells better as long as I'm happy.

...wtf is wrong with people these days.

And impossible. Lol. I can't imagine it is HOME because they just announced next year right?

399$ price drop W/ wireless is key imo.

well pesce/pollotarian means you abandoned most of meats (except chicken/fish). Veggie, yes of course everybody eat that (although I don't like some of them)
anyway, we're getting off topic

If it's from SCEA I doubt it will be a BD annoucement. If it's from Sony then who knows, but I think it's going to be the new 399 40GB PS3.
