Cool

The movie's not the greatest, but I think it will be awesome on bluray.

On a side note, I just gotta check out that Flight of The Living Dead flick! Zombies on a plane------SWEEEEEEET. Better than stupid snakes

I must say that the reaction to this tounge in cheek thread title went over very well compared to the one I started at that other forum.

Proving once again that BD owners are far more level headed , and have a great sense of humor.

Back on topic...you just know that the duddies are bummed that they have to sit through dreck like Kong and Transformers while we bask in the 1080p and uncompressed audio glory that will be Godzilla.

Like most of you I have to admit that Godzilla is a guily pleasure for me as well.

I look forward to it's release in blu.

Default Godzilla comes to Blu... and?

Maybe I'm crazy but, is this really big news? No offense to anyone who does like the film, but I thought the commen consensus was it was...well...kind of a stinker.

This is still considered to be a "blockbuster" movie and should do very well on Blu-ray. I would put it in the same class as ID4. It's a decent popcorn flick.

I'll be replacing my DVD with the Blu-ray version for sure. It's a fun movie.

I will get it, just for the sheer video and audio beauty they could get out of this title. 7.1 uncompressed anyone?

Since I only have a 5.1 setup this is a non issue for me, but I might have to consider getting a real subwoofer for this puppy

Well, I stand corrected. I have to say, after starting this post I almost regretted it because I thought the flaming would start. Thus proving, once again, that this forum is filled with class acts. Thanks! And enjoy the BD!

The other format doesn't have a chance. Have you seen what Godzilla did to Japan the first go around?

This fella is a MONSTER.

I think i'm starting to get enough eye candy in my collection, what I want now is Eye-candy, Ear-Candy and Substance.

But hey if it helps with sales figures then

Someone should photoshop him stepping on some M$ people or the hd dvd logo. I bet that would look hilarious. A Blu Ray logo should be on his chest. Maybe the BDA could use this in an ad?

I'll buy it.

I saw Godzilla on opening night and the sound (roar) was amazing. It's a so-so movie, but the visual and audio on BLU would make it a buy for me.

If I can sit though King Kong on HD DVD (yuk), I can surely pick up Godzilla on BLU.

It may not be the greatest but when it first came out on dvd I rushed to Future Shop to pick it up. I will definately be re[lacing my standard edition for bd. You just gotta know Sony will be putting out a pristine transfer.
