I think they'll probably release 6 and H20 on blu ray again with extras and stuff.

your right in a sense i suppose, i remember reading an email someone posted from echo bridge regarding H6 and H20, their great master plan was to release the blu-ray's with absolutely no extras or 5.1 surround and then if they sold well they would re-release them with bonus stuff and better transfers/sound, i guess it backfired when people complained about the disgraceful discs they were putting out so they've upped their game

Wow, I didn't see that coming. I will buy this just to add it to my collection, even though it is the worst Halloween movie imo.

Be warned that while EB is making improvements, their release information for 'Proof' listed the inclusion of the original DVD's special features although they didn't make it onto the Blu; it did include the OAR and a lossless soundtrack, though.

Busta Rhymes single-handedly ruins the entire film.

You are so right. I hated Busta, and Tyra Banks for that matter. It's weird too, because Resurrection is watchable, and has some fun moments. But everytime Busta's suckage enters the screen, he takes you right out of the movie.

I have always enjoyed Halloween Resurrection. It was a very good slasher film. I own the original Halloween, and Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers and H20 on Blu-ray and all the rest of them on DVD. I think I'll just stick with my Resurrection DVD for as long as it still works.

I love films like Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween, but I am more exited for Blu-rays of the Universal Monsters right now. I think those are probably more worthy films for nice Blu-ray releases. That does not mean I would be unwilling to get the slasher films on Blu-ray. I do own Friday the 13th 1-3, FVJ, and Friday 2009 on Blu.

I think I'll end my ramble now. I like Halloween Resurrection, but I am happy with my DVD copy.

For me, the series ended with H20. I loved the ending, loved Laurie's story coming full circle, and hated that Resurrection destroyed all of that in the opening moments.

My thoughts exactly. Had I not been on a date, I probably would have walked out after the opening scene...

I cant believe the Alliance release has actually withstood the test of time against all these releases. Glad I have it!

Sorry it took so long to give you an answer, but I rarely login. I never had any problems with any Echo Bridge release and I have both the original release and the Triple Feature disc with the open matte presentation. Always played perfectly for me.

Here is the order I would rank them in from best to worst.

Halloween (1978)
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween IV : The Return of Michael Myers
Halloween V : The Revenge of Michael Myers
Halloween H20
Halloween (2007)
Halloween VI : The Curse of Michael Myers
Halloween 2 : (2009)
Halloween III : Season of The Witch
Halloween Resurrection

So apparently Resurrection is OOP. The minimum price new on Amazon is $75!

75 bucks? Jesus, I think I would get more pleasure out of setting seventy-five 1 dollar bills on fire than I would watching that again.

Trick ah Treet, mothafukah!!!

I absolutely adore Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 as a brutal deconstruction of slasher conventions and showing the long lasting consequences of surviving a slasher film.

...I prefer the theatrical cut's ending, though.
