I had said to Chad on the Spot and AVS in regards to the RV reviews: "It's about time! THIS is the kind of news I need to start seeing about BD!"

And it's true.

The more this time trickles on, the more confident I feel in my theory that late Fall is the "real and true" BD launch.

I won't get my hopes at this point, and objectively, HD-DVD has set a pretty high bar in terms of PQ and AQ. Yeah, the hardware could be better.

But come late October and so on...I'm going to be looking real long and hard for that software that's WORTHY of that forthcoming hardware.

Black Hawk Down had better be one of those killer app, system selling, BD titles, for example. That sucker's dead locked on my radar...

I was really surprised at the presentation of RV myself. I've seen a number of good BD presentations. In fact about all of Warner's qualify. But, this one really jumped off my screen. Grain was still a tad noisier than some of the very best HD DVDs I've seen, but that may be innate to the photography. It was a really well rounded disc that actually made it fun for me to watch extras again.

I also just saw the trailer for Click and it looks like it could be a stunner as well.

We'll see.

I expect it will be. But, it hasn't been officially announced yet.
