I almost can't believe they won't be releasing Under the Skin on Blu Ray. It seems insane.

The strangest thing is the fact that Lionsgate distributed all of A24's films on home video, so why wouldn't they keep doing so? I'm not saying this all isn't true, but it almost seems like people are jumping to conclusions since everything except for Ginger and Rosa has appeared on Blu-ray thanks to Lionsgate.

I don't even know what the hell you're talking about, but anyway..

Like the last couple posts I wrote them as well, I expressed some disappointment and let them know that the entire blu-ray internet community is rather upset and puzzled, but I also let them know that they're releasing some great films and I was not bashing the company for their decision on this. I just told them how bizarre this seems to be and why exactly they went this way and of course I had to ask if this is because they may have possibly given blu-ray exclusive rights to release the two films in question.

Do it. Bring a camera though for the ambush and demand answers as to why they're doing this.

Here is their e-mail to inquire about this bizarre treatment to two very anticipated films that we were expecting blu-ray releases of.

Done, emails work people.

I think we can strongly infer that is the case, filmaf, amazon, and this site usually predict what is coming and neither of these films are scheduled while DVDs are on the docket.

I hope you are right and we are jumping the gun, but I fear we aren't.

I really appreciate a lot of you guys and gals making your voice heard via e-mail to A24. I too like everyone else was truly looking forward to having these films on blu-ray, and definitely not on DVD. I just hope they give us some kind of proper response and answer as to why they went this route and if anyone hears back please post what they've sent you in response.

And once again guys thank you very much for being involved.

Just sent an email! Hope something works out as I think they are both near-perfect films.

Let's hope their archaic thinking isn't true.

I just emailed them as well. Great job, everyone! They have been very responsive in the past on Twitter, so we'll see how this goes. Tweet them as well if you're on there.

The man who questioned them on Twitter said "DVD only" to which they replied "not accurate" I hope they are not referring to the fact that it's "not accurate" because these films will also be available as like VOD or something.

I just asked them point-blank about a Blu-Ray (I deleted a Tweet that would've let "not true" stay ambiguous and rephrased it).

probably just people panicking over not seeing a release date for little known films from a small studio right away and then spreading rumors

It's fishy because they didn't simply just say "No, they will be on blu-ray as well." "Not accurate" is too vague, it could mean "no not just DVD, but VOD as well."

I'll be pissed if their social media person Tweeted that and then went to bed.

Yeah, it's possible it's them saying 'DVD and VOD'. Hopefully they meant Blu-ray too.

They didn't release Ginger and Rosa on Blu-Ray last year either.

This is awful! I was looking forward to seeing both on Blu-ray. Sent them an e-mail. I sincerely hope this isn't true. It doesn't make any sense.
