Is Amazon the cheapest place for the complete set? It's very annoying to have to buy the movie on blu seperately from the States.

The

Obviously you are a big fan and like all big fans, do not like your show criticised. As I have said more than once, I very much enjoyed watching VM but it is far from unique. And it is ridiculous and unbelievable, whether you choose to accept that or not. I am intrigued though, what exactly does it subvert so well? And how is it not like other detective shows?

My Kickstarter rewards came today and oddly it wasn't a combo pack but a separate DVD and Blu Ray. This is odd as the BR isn't even for sale here in the UK.

That could be very valuable if they don't release a blu ray any time soon

So Warner Bros. even went to the effort of creating/printing UK covers and presumably discs, but they can't be arsed to put it in stores?

I wouldn't be surprised they have to go through all this just for the Kickstarter backers based in the UK. I guess the reglementations can be quite rude.

But are you surprised that Warner Brothers went to the trouble of preparing a UK Blu-ray release for the film that nobody can actually purchase? All they had to do was put a ****ing barcode on it, and then people could give them money for the ****ing thing!

And why is a major studio releasing brand new titles on DVD only in their largest European market, and releasing them on Blu-ray in Denmark, Germany and Sweden, to begin with?

Brand new English language films getting DVD only releases in the UK, and Warner Brothers releases them on Blu-ray in Finland and Norway. This is insanity.

FYI my local HMV got this complete set in at £32.99. Sadly they had wrapped a spider tag around the box and the strands had dug into the cardboard case at the edges.

Germany is the largest blu-ray market in Europe. It overtook the UK last year.

And could it have something to do with the fact Veronica Mars never took off in the UK, despite having two different broadcasters?

Does the BD have an EAN barcode on the back?

Any chance you could post a clear back cover scan, and confirm what languages and bonus features are on the UK Blu-ray disc?

They don't have UV codes and the Blu Ray doesn't have a bar code at all.

It definitely sounds like a promotional copy. If it had an EAN it might be a hint that we'll get a BD release. As to the UV codes didn't you Kikckstarter supporters get a UV digital copy? I remember reading it was useless to some people as UV is only supported in a few countries. So WB had to offer an alternative DC.

Yea, we got a UV copy the day it was released in the cinema.
All in all my reward tier included:-

Blu Ray
Digital Copy
DVD
T-Shirt
Poster
Stickers

My poster arrived damaged and for some odd reason they sent me three replacements lol.

I can do that for you when I get home tonight although I can tell you the case doesn't list all the extras.
