Default Pioneer KURO 5010FD 50in. Plasma HDTV

I just got mine from a Ebay Store. There is 1 left. It came Fedex to my Door. When it came I gave it time to let all of the condensation go away. It is up and running. It is a 1080p. Boy is it nice! Really worth the wait. It came with the Warrenty. Also can buy a maintance agreement if wanted. I am going to wait to see how it does. So far it is everything they say it is. My Brother has 2 of them. His are great. My Blu-ray and High Def. are looking good with it. What a Picture!!! I looked around a lot befor buying. Pioneer has a nice site to look at the KURO. I love the KURO! It is really worth buying. MICHELE

I'm anxiously awaiting delivery of a 5010FD, which should arrive in the next 3-4 days. (Would have loved to have gotten the 110FD (the Elite version) but I couldn't justify the extra $1000 in price.) I ordered mine from Invision Displays at a great price. They are an authorized Pioneer internet reseller, which means you will be covered by Pioneer's own warranty. Pioneer actually makes a big deal about buying their products from authorized dealers, and they provide of list of them on their website--check it out before you buy!

If you're going to put in a room with windows or lights that will be on in front of the tv I would go with the lcd. Other than that you would really be splitting hairs comparing these sets.

Well we do live in a small place right now and the room does have windows and lights. I really wanted to go with the 5010, but I'm starting to think that I should go with the 40XBR4 because the place is so small. If I get the 40 now I think I can have Sonystyle price match Abe's of Maine for $1999 and get the 5 year warranty for $249. Then when we move into someplace bigger this will be my 2nd TV and I can upgrade to the biggest and the best then. I'm really starting to like this plan. What do you guys think...I'm thinking 40XBR4 for the present and a Pioneer KURO or Elite for the future. I might even be able to do a 60" later on.

DEFINITELY GET THE PIONEER! I just got a new Pioneer setup (which includes the 5010FD) and it's sweet! Even when I'm watching regular TV I find myself sitting in front of the screen with this stupid looking grin on my face! Put on a BD (or HDTV) and I start to giggle uncontrollably.........my wife has threatened to call the local funny farm on me.

Give Roman at Invision Displays a call. His number is 1-800-420-5710. I got a great price from him (including shipping). Terrific service as well. (Mine's coming tomorrow. ) He's very well respected on the AVS Forum (where his company is a sponsor).
