She's a bigger star than him. Plus outside of Star Trek I know he hasn't done much. I know he's in the upcoming WW movie.

But should be interesting. I quite like the first 2 films.

Well, they can't take too much longer, especially if they want Julie Andrews to continue her role as Queen Clarissa. Anne Hathaway's also 40 herself, so they need to get the ball rolling if they want another Princess Diaries film to be believable.

Nevertheless, as the story points out, Hathaway is still hoping Julie could be persuaded:

Hathaway, who has not officially signed for the new film, had expressed interest in being part of a new Princess Diaries movie. Back in October 2022, the Oscar-winning actor told Entertainment Tonight that she was “pulling” for a third movie and added, “If there’s any way to get Julie Andrews involved, I think we would make it work. I like Hathaway but without Julie Andrews, there's no reason to make this movie. And based on how Disney has treated Julie Andrews and her very firm conviction to cut off ties with the company, I don't see her ever returning no matter how many zeroes would be in her paycheck.
