Realistically there's no way they could ever open the park again, right? After all the billions lost in lawsuits. Whatever Dr. Wu smuggled off the island is probably where they're going with the next movie.

Not thrilled about having to wait until 2018, but at least there's a lot of other stuff I'm looking forward to coming out over the next couple years so I can deal. Curious to see where they take the story next, and I hope I'll enjoy it as much as I did Jurassic World.

I don't want Claire and StarLord to return, their characters were not memorable, mostly because of the weak writing when it comes to that. Those dialogues ... Meh. Also, there was no character development at all in Jurassic World. Or should we count the "Our parents are going to divorce" moment (had nothing to do in that movie, never been talked about again also) as development? Also, what would be the angle? They are running out of options. They already did after the original.

The succes of this is mostly about the fact everyone wanted to relive the feeling of Jurassic Park from 20 years ago. All generations were impressed by that iconic adventure. The huge gap between these two is why it scored big time. But now it happened and while lots of people loved it, lots didn't. This sequel is doomed to be the next 'The Lost World' (way too soon) and it will end with a "Meh." like Jurassic Park III. At least, that's what I guess. Nothing more.

Also, as a big Jurassic Park fan, I was thrilled about seeing Jurassic World ... And I liked it, despite all the flaws, ... And then they went over the top, extremly over the top in that Michael Bay meets Disney finale, I hated that. So, if they went that far in this ... What are they going to do to top that? Going even further? No thanks.

They're scheduling for 2018 because every other studio has been scheduling all their blockbusters and tentpoles two to three years in advance because it's all become so competitive and jammed packed.

No it wasn't, which is why I'd like them to take their time and do the next one right. I would guess they see their box office returns as evidence the movie was perfect though. Perfectly profitable, anyway.

JP was such a brilliant movie, it makes me sad our expectations have been lowered to "fun dino effects and I'm there."
