Nice list!
ABCD Anybody Can Dance (2013) https://www.bam.org/film/2015/abcd-any-body-can-dance Some info about a 1950s film from Italy https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...&theater&ifg=1 I realize that maybe music rights are holding some of these up but it would be great to see Alamo Drafthouse or a similar theater have a festival to show some of these.. I know you're focusing on features but here's a short I came across that I think hasn't been mentioned anywhere...The Viewer https://www.kinolorber.com/film/icanseeyou Last edited by robtadrian; 02-23-2018 at 12:39 PM. My understanding is that all are conversions, except for Gone with the Bullets which is partially shot native. But this is only from my notes - I do not have a source unfortunately.

Can you add the IMAX movie "A Beautiful Planet" to the post-97 native list? It was released in IMAX theaters in 2016, narrated by Jennifer Lawrence. It's only 47 minutes long.
For post-97 conversions, we also have Michael Jackson's Thriller - it debuted in October 2017 at various film festivals but no 3D blu-ray release as of yet. There's also Britney Spears Live: The Femme Fatale Tour 3D - it was filmed at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto in 3D by 3ality Digital (I think it was broadcast in 3D on Epix on November 2011) but the home video release is regular blu-ray only, no 3D. |

A South Korean film named Northern Limit Line was shot with 3d cameras and was released in theaters in South Korea in 3d but has no blu ray 3d release, not even in Hong Kong.

I have been holding my breathe waiting for your list to finish.
Well after looking at your list Mr. 13th, I feel pretty relieved there are not more on there that I am really sad about. Yes I would like for every title on your list to be on 3d blu ray and yes that are quite a few outstanding movies on your list, but looking at the positive that list does not hold a candle to the list of 3d blu rays we do have. But you are right. Why not put these out on 3d blu ray? All the hard work was done. My final thought. I do have genuine hope that many of these will see the light of day as 3d blu rays one day. They are just waiting for someone who sees the profit in it; or someone who loves 3d. Maybe one of us? Where are you Shaggy? |

I am most sad about the unavailability of EVERY SINGLE ONE of the films on those lists, but most of all the Golden and Silver Age titles, as those will have the best 3D and will have been shot on film. All the hard work is done in terms of new digitally-shot films but getting celluloid onto digital gets harder the worse condition the materials are in. It's crazy to me how the second 3D Blu-ray came into existence there wasn't a rush to release all these films. The ones we do have are so superior to today's tame fare that these unreleased titles alone would outclass almost everything released in the last 20 years |

But I do thank you very very much for the list. These are worth fighting for. I wonder if we could do a "go fund me" project here. You pick out the one you like best and see if we can get Bob or someone else to see if it can be done. |

When 3-D Blu-ray first hit around 2011, we tried to convince everyone that held rights to these properties to work with us and move forward to release on 3-D Blu-ray. Nobody was interested and all adopted a wait-and-see attitude. It was a classic chicken or egg scenario.
Paramount got a LOT of complaints about HUGO (crosstalk on poor displays) and because of that outcry, would not release HONDO in 3-D in 2012 even though the Wayne Estate offered it to them on a silver platter. Warner Bros. finally took a chance but spent SO much money on each title - up to $300K for just one film - that any chance for profits went out the window. The only reason we began to get our titles out was because we owned the rights and had the luxury of being flexible with our licensing terms. Frank Tarzi took a shot when he was at Olive and it was uphill from there. But we received many, MANY rejection letters while some companies (Shout for one) expressed interest and then strung us along for more than a year before officially declining any of our titles. Criterion passed on 3-D RARITIES ("The material is not interesting") and that's been our biggest seller. It's been a long, uphill battle across the board. Thankfully, we've established a successful formula for delivering high-quality restorations for pennies on the dollar (we make next to nothing, to be honest) but Richard Lorber and Kino are securing the licenses and we'll keep plugging along. |

Added. There are still plenty of foreign titles missing, Italian, Russian etc. Any help with those would be much appreciated.
