LOL

Done that a fair bit myself. Why did they do that.

The remote is awesome! In fact I don't even use the sixaxis anymore. I use it to play COD 4 and Tekken and I still own foos!

But seriously, it sounds like you already have a remote so why buy another one? Just use you coupon for something else like another PS3 game or even a good PS2 one. Have you played all the PS2 classics?

Good to know I'm not the only one. Of course it only happens when I am trying to show off my system to someone.

Well,

I was saving up the credit for a second sixaxis but I realize I've never had the use of a second sixaxis because no one has ever been over to play games. And it was taking too long to get to the $40 or $50 they charge for a sixaxis.

My main reason to buy it is ,.. I love the PS3 and I was mostly curious about it. Now that I've use it a bit,.. I can see it's pretty nice. It has a completely different feel then my Harmony does.

Of course,.. the Harmony not only turns on and off the AVR and the Projector but it also controls the lights for the room too. So,.. I think I'll mostly be using that.

But I like this PS3 remote and I'm glad I picked it up,.. It was nearly free as some of the stuff I traded in for the credit I got for just a few dollars at a garage sale (old Ps2 accessories.) (You know they will give you $3 in credit for the composite cable that comes packed with the PS3?... I traded one of those in but not the one from my PS3 as I just wanted to keep it compete in a way.)

BTW it was horrible! Never attempt this!

I bet it would be alright as a controller for Virtua Tennis because ,.. you just have to get near the ball an hit the button to swing.

Not optimal but workable particularly since it's blu tooth and all.

In fact,.. for fighting games like Soul Calibur it may also be work-able but I don't know if you would want to expose a remote to that type of button mashing.

they should make the BD remote motion sensitive to take a stab at nintendo. then you could really use it for tennis.

it also works for Guitar Hero games since it has color buttons

I do wish it was backlit, but I agree with the person that said it's great that it stays on without draining a rechargable battery

It ruins the point of having one universal remote. I could not see myself handling 2 remotes after using harmony's and URC remotes.

Default universal remote

I got the remote cos I could not remember what buttons to press on the controller when watch the movies!. I find the remote really good.

However I now have 1 for the TV 1 for the DVD 1 for the PS3 1 for the Sky Box 1 for Cable Box. So i either need a chair with bigger arm rests, or a universal remote, any suggestions?

As long as the power source is from a USB port, it's fine. USB power requirements are standardized. However, those Firewire-based iPod chargers use a lot more juice for a quicker charge.

The current PS3 firmware basically TURNS OFF your Bluetooth Remote after a period of inactivity, that is when you're watching a BD and you haven't touched the remote for a while. I'm not sure the exact duration; it could be 30 minutes. This is done to save the battery life, since it's not rechargable like the controller. If you pressed on a button and it didn't do anything, just press on that button again. Pressing any button activates the Bluetooth link.

I love the remote for watching movies and listening to music.

Definitely worth it for the price...I wish all remotes were bluetooth

It takes while to get use to NOT having to point the remote at something.

The remote is worth ever bit you spend on it. It has all the functions right there on the remote so you don't have to go looking for them ore figure them out on the controller.

I got the BD remote a week ago, love it. $25 at best buy (it was $40 at future shop), weird considering it's all the same company...

Get it! I love my BD Bluetooth remote. -snuggles it- lol

Seriously though, buy it. It will be a power-saver for your PS3 game controller for when you play videos.

I don't have it, but I'm already very comfortable with Sixaxis's shortcuts. The only thing I'd say is completely missing is the colored buttons, but until a lot of titles start using those, I don't really see a dire need for the remote.
