Watched this on Shudder and really liked it. I'm glad the Last Drive In episode is included. I would buy more of these Shudder exclusives on BD if they included some extras. I'll probably grab this Day 1.

For $12.99 I'll give this a blind buy. Wasn't disappointed with Creepshow, and I like supporting this type of physical media release.

I didn't like this one, but I might get it to have the Last Drive-In episode on disc.

Got mine today.

Does anyone know if I can do the Shudder free trial (which was a nice unexpected perk, at least to me) and still take advantage of the usual Halloween deal they have?

I just turned this off after the excruciating ‘The Night He Came Back Again Part 4’ or whatever it’s called. From the jump I was lost with this one. ‘Cold Opening’ was a confusing mess of meta overdrive, bad acting and what the hell am I watching?? ... type humor that pretty much set the template for the entire experience to follow. Everything here is just rushed to the max so there is no tension or scares. Just manic comedic horror violence that isn’t very funny or shocking and out of left field story developments that seem to be from the mind of a schizophrenic. Example: A guy down on his luck and under pressure from his wife joins a men’s support and self help group that actually turns out to be a pack of werewolves, only it turns out he knows this, so he kills them all then takes their hides home to his satanic cult member wife and they have a ceremony in their living room with the other cult members. Huh?? The video store segments were interminable. The three main characters seemed to be battling each other for the title of ‘most unlikabale’. The only thing I liked about this was the amazing slipcover and cover art, which nails that 1980’s VHS horror vibe. Too bad it belongs to this piece of crap movie.

Did you know this was a horror comedy going into it? I have to admit it's my least liked category of film, but I enjoyed this one. Thought it was fun.

If you did know going in, why would you expect any tension/scares/shock?

I quite enjoyed the Video store scenes, and most of the movie. Did it always make sense? Nah. But it was a fun watch

Well I’m glad you enjoyed it, but I wasn’t into it obviously.

As I mentioned on my initial comments way back when... I can't imagine not watching this without the Joe Bob segments. They help break up the frustration of the film and provide some much needed (actually funny) comedic relief.

Odd... This is supposed to be 1080p, but the 24fps function diesn't activate with this one which suggests 1080i... Anyone else have this issue?

I just bought this from Target and it skips in a few places. I looked up some reviews, and a few mention the issue but most don't. Do you guys know anything about this issue? Is it an issue with older copies that has been fixed in newer ones, or is it just something I'm going to have to live with if I want to own this movie on Blu-ray?

Shudder originals can be an acquired taste and may be tough to recommend. I really liked The Room, for example, but others may not.

This is definitely not for everyone. I felt the same when I first watched it, but it grew on me as the movie went on. Liked it enough to purchase a blu copy when it came out, I've since watched it at least three more times. Hey, this is a guy that admittedly likes The Happening.

AMC+ with Shudder has the Shudder films in 720p and is a pretty nice way to preview or watch these in full. Otherwise, my game plan has been to buy the dvds when they show up at Dollar Tree, but it's hit or miss what will be included. But Shudder will be higher quality, though a bit of a step down versus blus. Scare Package is one that has exclusive blu extras as well, so you may have to research a bit beforehand.

Somehow this film is getting a sequel... "Scare Package 2: Rad Chad's Revenge". Anyone in the UK that want's to check it out and give us the rundown can see it at Fright Fest UK on August 25th.

https://www.frightfest.co.uk/2022Aug...ens-films.html

Call me a glutton for punishment, but I'm actually curious to see what they came up with and hope this gets picked up for some form of distribution in some capacity. That poster alone is enough to pique my interest. (I also kind of want to purchase that poster truth be told).
