As a big fan of 70's conspiracy/political thrlllers, is it a crime that I've never seen this film? Nevertheless, I'm glad there's a definitive release forthcoming, and on 4K no less. Another one to cross off the list

I watched the film on a recent flight and the PQ was great but not sure if that was because everything looks good on a 7 inch screen. Looked nice and clean. The film itself was middling I thought. I felt the scenes with

[Show spoiler]Redford kibbitzing around with the woman he "kidnaps"

a bit on the dull side tbh and slowed the film down. The flight ended before I could finish the finish so I don't how what that character was ultimately about but I wanted to see more action. I may or may not grab the 4K release.

also the 5.1 track was pitched too high which is strange because the 5.1 track on the old Paramount BD is clearly the same remix but the Paramount BD is correctly pitched

The 5.1 was corrected for the SC UHD.

considering they're using whatever Paramount is sending them, it's possible that since the 5.1 track was already correct on Paramount's BD, it'll be correct on Kino's 4K too

Kino said it was “coming soon”. Kino’s soon could be a year or more since announcement. Unless Kino specifically says it’s canceled, then it’s still happening.

Love that they managed to find the original “coin” artwork without the crease marks. Or maybe someone in the art department spent a few days getting rid of the creases. Either way, this is the classic cover I prefer.

I would have preferred all new artwork and have it feature the DECtapes.

Replace the coin with a DECtape perhaps.
