I just wanna say, I have no clue why the Avatar 2 thread got locked.

My post may have been the last one before the lock, but I take no responsibility.

Whatever the reason was, I'm sure it was someone else's fault.

Have a nice day.

EDIT: Nevermind

Good choice. Organic peanut butter (100% peanuts) is healthier.

I need to see this again.

What do you think will happen in Avatar 3 in 2024?

With Avatar 3, I hope we get some more of Jake and Neytiri's characters, but what I bet is going to happen is by the end of the series, Jake and Neytiri, or Neytiri or Jake, are not going to survive and their kids are going to have to grow up and take over the fight against the increasing human army attacking Pandora, which looks like a moon "planet", of which Endor is considered to be a moon as well.

I hope we visit the main planet and find out what it's about. So far, nothing in this series other than it's probably uninhabitable and toxic for everyone, or a gas giant.

As far as spoilers, I'm going to guess that Spider, the human kid
[Show spoiler]who helped his evil, vengeful father survive at the end of Avatar 2 by saving him from fully drowning, is going to be hated by Neytiri, who will not be willing to forgive Spider, the human kid's actions, linked to her son's death. Jake will be upset too.

The clue, if Cameron has this all planned out, is that she rejected him and didn't want him playing with her kids. Jake, who is often wrong in his major decisions like leaving the forest tribe and moving far away to the water tribe only to put them in jeopardy and danger, along with allowing his family to be subject to the human attackers who are mainly after Jake, told her that Spider will be fine to play with the Sully family... Clearly that was a mistake because he's the human son of the evil leader after Jake.

Then Spider will side with his evil father, but by the end of it all, even though Spider may do some bad things against the Na'vi, he'll eventually remember how much he valued them once, and sabotage his father's plans, allowing the Sully kids to finally eliminate Colonel Quaritch Na'vi.

C’mon, Quaritch is in the middle of his redemptive arc to “go native” like Jake, and join the Navs.

With Avatar 1 stressing how Earth needed the Unobtanium to function, how does Avatar 2 address that we went 10 years without it?

Unobtanium is supposed to be to Avatar what The Spice was to Dune. Somewhere in the extended lore I recall a mention that there was research to create an artificial Unobtanium, but that the mining company suppressed the research in order to protect its profits (shades of Blockbuster not buying Netflix...)?

Interesting idea. I heard Lang mention
[Show spoiler]he'll be the main bad guy throughout the full series if that's true, but maybe at the very end he'll change his ways because of his son Spider.

One thing Avatar 1 didn't stress was exactly what is done with Unobtainium, or if it's mostly just like Gold on earth, just a rare, valuable metal used mostly for jewelry. But whatever happened in Avatar 2, it's very clear it's not as valuable now as
[Show spoiler]the whale anti-aging brain fluid is.
I hope Cameron addresses this fickleness of the humans in Avatar 3.

Avatar 5, that could be cool if they visit planet earth to see what remains of it after the humans destroyed it with pollution and drained it of resources. Hopefully Cameron has the vision to cover that in his Avatar series. Avatar 2 closed its eyes to everything outside of the Sully Family's viewpoint.

I don’t know if he can ever be redeemed for the mass genocide he’s committed. But he may have a personal “redemption” with his son.

Good point. Although Kylo Ren of Star Wars also from Disney, was "redeemed" and he was just as evil in how many lives he destroyed for greed, arrogance and power.

That’s Disney though who have no say in what James Cameron does. I just don’t see that happening with his sensibilities.

That's a good thing they can't interfere.
With Quaritch,
[Show spoiler]Lang said he'll be the main bad guy throughout the series, but who knows what could happen at the end. The main challenge being he can just keep jumping from Na'vi clone to clone endlessly. So unless Jake and the Na'vi figure out how to stop the Avatar clone
machines, this ruthless villain will not stop it seems. Like Cameron wants him to represent the main villain for the full series. I don't see anyone else in the wings to take over, other than
[Show spoiler] maybe the son or some new villain, but I don't think the kid has it in him to be that evil.

Not even. 11am start with trailers, an intermission or two & time to clean the theater & seat the next crowd would make for at least a 9pm start for a second screening. Ain't nobody running a movie from 9pm to 6am.

This "nine hour" rumor is really weird; even if it's an assembly cut, it shouldn't be that long. A normal two hour movie might have a three to four hour initial cut, a three hour JC film ought to start in the five hour range before they begin cutting it down.
