OMG That is too much

And I share the same notion with Marcus that you might've just came back from a picket line

But on to the original post, I think it will probably be something to do with a retailer going exclusive.

The only difference is retailers get more product off their shelves now, which only matter unless they are liquidating stock *which they are*
Exactly so.

I'm waiting for us to really start seeing that on the retail level, namely less and less space devoted to red.

BB goes exclusive to Blu Ray, both hardware and software. Circuit City will then become the clearing house for anything HD DVD.

I'd buy that for a dollar. Seems we have been hearing this sort of thing in the wind lately. Can't wait for the day....

I always knew Ken Graffeo was a few fries short of a happy meal

Instead of having him work at McDonalds though... I would have him clean the horse stalls @ the aptly named Montreal "Blue Bonnets Raceway"

P.S. He can invest his severance pay on a racehorse and call it "HD DVD should've won"
The odds on that horse are always 1000:1 and it will NEVER win a race

Remember that it has only been 5 weeks since that fateful day when Warner made the announcement. If either Paramount or Universal were going Blu they would want to be releasing actual titles by Q4, which realistically means they would have to announce neutrality sometime in Q3 at the latest(for retailer pre-books and such). A July 1st announcement by Paramount sounds right.

The entire demise of HD DEAD in the EU will be next.

After losing all those European companies and film distributors to Blu in the last few weeks its going to be hard for the reds to come back.

It'll take a bit of time in the US but eventually (obviously when I say eventually I mean sometime later this year) we'll have peace and one true HD format.

Default Huge day for blu-ray; what do you expect to happen next?

This has been a huge day for blu-ray: Netflix going blu-ray exclusive and Best Buy pushing blu-ray beginning March (going blu-ray exclusive essentially).

I predict that within this week, Circuit City will be pushing blu-ray.
And similarly, Walmart.

Within a month's time, either Universal or Paramount to announce blu-ray exclusivity once their contract is up.

It would be nice to hear Universal turn Blu. Then Paramount would have their arm twisted and be forced to come back!

I can only imagine the words going on in the back office at those studios!!!

Their attach rates are going all to hell though with the "Upconversion is good enough" marketing campaign though.
