While I'm happy enough sticking to the 1/3000 Limited Blu, it's cool that more people get a shot at owning the older master.

Hoping the theatrical cut audio is fixed. It suffered from PAL slowdown pitch issues on the previous blu-ray.

Let's not just hope, but send them messages about it here, even if you know what their customer service is worth nowadays...

Actually the resale value is still high on eBay. I shifted mine (sealed) for £15 + buyer protection fee + postage in like 12 hours. I would’ve priced lower but saw a few recent sales for £20!

Am I right in thinking there is no need to keep the old 2 disc Arrow Blu Ray with bonus disc?

Quite a few of these releases have had identical booklets: Dark Water, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, and The Long Good Friday I’m pretty confident on as I compare the listing on Arrow’s website with the available pdf downloads.

Thief however appears to be getting a bigger booklet (unless those pdfs are only partial, but the presence of the contents pages suggests no):

"Collector's booklet featuring writing on the film by Brad Stevens, new essays by Barry Forshaw and Gillian Kelly, and a new comparison of the different cuts of the film by Stevens"

While the pdf copy of the blu-ray booklet only has Brad Stevens’ essay.

So for booklet heads this one will be an upgrade

Looks like they added and not changed though, making the old release irrelevant on that score.

Is there an Arrow UHD release that had a smaller booklet than the BD had and lost material? I assume Donnie Darko, since it went from a massive hardcover book to a more normal one. I only own the (CE version) BD though, and put the basic UHD inside it, so I can't tell.

Got the latest Criterion but will double-dip on this 4K Arrow Edition "tout de suite".

I'm watching the Criterion right now and I'm hoping they fix the issue with the dialogue being too quiet (or just the whole 5.1 track) I had to turn it up an extra 3.5dB to hear some of the dialogue. I've got my eye on the limited edition once it goes on sale though.

I'd love to have this but may wait for the standard edition because I want to keep the previous release, which already has the second disc with the theatrical cut. This way, I'll also save space as I am happy without the booklet and the like.

iMusic is saying this will get released September 5th, but I assume that's their mistake? As Rarewaves still says August 25.
