C.H.O.M.P.S. stands for Canine HOMe Protection System. It featured the dog who played Benji, Valerie Bertinelli, Red Buttons, and Conrad Bain (Mr. Drummond from "Different Strokes"). It's about an inventor whose developing a robotic watchdog. Add some bumbling criminals (if I recall correctly) and ridiculous antics ensue. Voice-overs are used for the animals in the film, including the deep voice that provides the classic line, "Up your poop, granny!"

Here's another one of Henry Thomas's post-E.T. classics:

And don't forget: it has Huckleberry Fox, the crooked-mouthed kid from the end of "Terms of Endearment."

Here's actually a film I like, but it's never even been available on standard DVD (to my knowledge):

It's based on an acclaimed novel from the 1980s and was directed by Bill Forsyth, who made the similarly overlooked/underrated Local Hero.

The incredibly horrible Canadian piece o' poop called 'Good Cop, Bon Cop'. Please don't ruin Blu-Ray's reputation by putting that crap on HD!!!

I dunno, I guess French Canadians liked it but the rest of us? NEIN!!!

Interesting little film from the 80's. I doubt highly this one will hit Blu-Ray

Yet another 80's film that got little to no play. Great film though.

I watched that on The Movie Channel a long while ago. That movie is very underrated sadly. I actually enjoyed watching it. I don't see that one going to BD anytime soon unless there's a Stacy Keach box set made.

There's a movie from 1989 that's so lame I can't even find a poster for it.
